After looking more into this I'm now understanding how stellar works... but I'm not understanding how I can get my SPICE to be tokenized/wrapped and issued to my XLM address... ? Because from what I'm seeing here there is no way for this to happen without me sending my SPICE to whoever owns the issuing account and then they issue me the XLM token?

Yes that is how it is done. I have set up a /.well-known/stellar.toml file on my Makemoney domain that theoretically is read by clients to get info about the assets issued from that domain, but I do not know whether it is actually working, my client does not seem to use it. But in theory clients should be able to find out from there that the instructions for bailing-in and bailing-out coins say to contact user "knotwork" on Keybase, that is me.

I do not run an automated site for bailing-in and bailing-out coins for two reasons:

One, the free open-source code available for doing that claims to not be ready for production use; and

Two, the code simply creates new tokens as it receives coins, and vanishes (send back to issuer) tokens when it bails them back out to on-blockchain coins again, which is not how I like to operate.

I consider it a bit flimsy to just automatically assume you really got the coins the code thinks it received and issue tokens based on the code's imagining it securely received the coins. My approach is, rather, to create tokens in advance, and to only create tokens representing HALF of my coins, so that I can still have the other half of my coins available to "buy back" my tokens without having to go dig up from cold storage the coins I actually "tokenised" aka "wrapped". That way my wrapped coins can in principle be stashed ridiculously securely, in ways that could take weeks or months or more to dig back up out of frozen storage, because I will never need them until I cease supporting that coin; as long as I still expect to ever need tokens of that coin again I can simply "buy back" my tokens using the other half of my coins, ready to hand them out again next time someone wants to "bail in" some of the actual coins.

This also means though that the number of tokens is a bottleneck of my system. If you want to "bail in" more coins than I have tokens for we need to come up with some deal whereby I get enough of the coin from you to only need to create tokens representing HALF of them; the other half you'd use to buy something else from me, so that when I issue the new tokens I can keep on hand as many coins as I made tokens for PLUS the coins the tokens are actually based on.

That way frees me to use ridiculously complicated ways of "freezing" the tokenised coins, such as breaking up the keys into "X of N" parts distributed among N number of safety deposit boxes distributed around the world, or bury them under concrete under a swimming pool in my backyard, or anything, without needing to worry about how to ever dig them back up again "in a hurry" since they will never be needed again until my heirs-and-assigns decide to shut down the whole tokenising concept never needing tokens of that coin again.

So, contact me (knotwork) on keybase, or I suppose if not concerned about privacy you could even use direct messaging here though keybase is probably better.

I'm really only interested in coins that are in the top 10 at this point, so BTC and LTC are the only ones on that list that I'd want... but I'd take anything in the top 10 if there was a trading pair for them. I'm pretty much willing to part with my entire stack of SPICE for that price, but unless you're a total BTC whale you probably don't have to liquidity to buy me out... and I would absolutely need what I sell SPICE for to be a high cap coin that I can trade into fiat for tax reasons.

Can't you go in two steps maybe?

There are some of the Sci-Fi coins that ARE on exchanges vs bitcoin, such as SCIFI itself, GPL2, KED and QBT.

So would you be able to trade SPICE for one of those then send those to an exchange to get BTC ?

From the crazy-low prices of such coins against BTC on such exchanges though it does look like trying to go to a top ten coin does incur quite a massive premium.

Too much risk involved, because I was mining SPICE before it was traded anywhere my cost basis for SPICE is zero and selling at those prices would be a five figure profit... if I were able to actually find a buyer with deep enough pockets and a trustworthy escrow service to liquidate SPICE at those prices I would owe the IRS over $10,000 ... Adding another low volume coin and third party exchange into the mix is just asking to get screwed. I'd rather just leave the SPICE in cold storage and owe nothing than take that type of risk

Well now we have a venue where you keep custody of the buy side (in this case the XLM) even while it is in offers, hopefully we can build a strong buy-side in SPICE/XLM without the exchange running off with all our coins, buy-side included, which has happened so often.

Hopefully it is just a matter of time to get SPICE/XLM built up.

Hmm well BBQ and NMC I haven't actually had any of for years, they are shown mostly as a relic of the scripts.

All my BTC is of course out on exchanges building buy-sides vs BTC for various of the others on various exchanges.

LTC I never did really get into, mostly it is still in the scripts because, like BTC, it is familiar to a lot of people. I do not actually have any.

I think all of the rest I have some of or can get some very easily; so maybe come up with a number of SPICE you're willing to part with for one or more of them at those prices...

The Devtome wiki is probably down right now though suppoedly it is in process of being put back online in read-only mode;

When it does come back online Galactic Milieu pages start at http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=galactic_milieu

There must be oodles of docs on the internet about how to use Stellar, maybe start at Stellar.org ?

The issuer account and asset labels are shown on my http://makemoney.knotwork.com/ site under stellar.

I update prices and maintain history tables of them starting at http://galaxies.mygamesonline.org/digitalisassets.html

I'd be more than willing to sell anybody SPICE at those prices and I could probably fill any amount you wanted, however I do not understand how to trade spice on the stellar network or what that Galactic Milieu game is...

SPICE is now part of the Galactic Milieu game.

Since trying to use "exchanges" to "discover" the values of game-currencies has proven a very awkward and unreliable process, we prefer to divide a "treasury" by the number of coins minted to arrive at a value. So for the last few years various groups wanting to adopt a currency as their national currency or clan currency or species currency or whatever in the game have been quietly putting together "treasuries" of "reserves" toward that purpose. Lately a number of these treasuries have been put into use.

Thus here are the Latest Rates values of many of the Galactic Milieu's coins and assets, expressed in SPICE at that calculated value of a SPICE coin:

One of the main uses for this coin is as an anagathic (anti-aging) drug in games that feature individual characters subject to aging or military or diplomat units sufficiently experienced that keeping the average age of the people forming the unit from advancing too far or too fast is worthwhile.

How well this works will probably depend on how attached players are to particular characters as compared to simply having their loot be inherited by a younger character they create to take the place of the aging one.

I think this chain should become Proof-of-Stake (however, anything more than 15% annual would doom any practical -- or even collectible -- value of such a cool coin IMO) or possibly a hybrid PoW/PoS.  My argument is that the chain seems to be moved quite easily by CPU mining within the wallet (at least when I experimented with it a couple weeks ago).  If someone had an incentive and the know-how it could be 51%-attacked as (another coin by the same dev) CHAO was said to be.  At least with staking, any bagholders with heaps of Melange would be incentivized to support the network.  The mining reward is a rounding error on the overall coin moreover and the reward justifies why hardly anyone is bothering to mine it.

I have considered making a WTB request to build a position in this chain (but I think the network has to make this both worthwhile and secure simultaneously -- hence the staking argument).   Vampirus made some proposals earlier... although I feel he should ratchet down the percentage to at least the minimum figure of <= 15%.
