Dont like the descending price auction. also, they havent even given payment addresses, metronome wallets, anything like that. its just like, at the last minute before it launches they'll say 'send us your ETH to this address, please buy early in the reverse auction and overpay or wait until the end when everyone else will buy in a scramble and probably miss out, and if you're somehow successful in negotiating this chaos we'll give you a random erc20 token that won't be worth anywhere near as much as the ETH you traded for it'. 'and by the way, we're keeping all the ETH and 20% of the new currency too'

'no thanks' is the comment you're looking for.

Hi,

Actually, all of the contract code has been made public on GitHub, like was announced in the 10 day countdown email and post. The wallet, along with detailed guides on how to use it and participate in the auction itself will be available soon.

Also, Metronome authors receive none of the proceeds (the ETH you're referring to) from any of the auctions. Those stay in the ecosystem to provide long term support for the community. This has been in the owner's manual, the FAQ, and other supporting documentation since we announced Metronome in late October.

You can read more about that here: https://medium.com/@MetronomeToken/on-metronome-author-retention-and-contract-behavior-73dad8f16494

And here:

5 Days to Metronome's Launch

Hello Metronome Community,

We are less than 5 days away from Metronome’s launch!

The Initial Supply Auction begins at midnight UTC on June 18, 2018 -- which is 8:00 PM ET on June 17, 2018.

Now it’s time to prepare. Be sure to have read the most recent version of the Owner’s Manual, along with other supporting documentation found on Metronome.io.

In the coming days, the team will also provide written guides on how to participate via the auction board and how to download the Metronome wallet.

More to come,

The Metronome Team

We published our profile on Metronome the other day. Dutch auction will be interesting...

Interesting is one way of describing it. I would use less family friendly words.

In the opinion of coin baptist, people should not even bother looking at this reverse auction until the last day.

Look at the price charts - in fact even half way through day 7 (the last day) these tokens are still priced at the dollar equivalent of nearly $85 each!  Is this for real?!

I know the supply is around 10% of Ether (initially at least, although 10% inflation in early years to consider) but ether went for at most $0.50 in its ICO, and that's if you bought right at the end! Anyone buying these before this half way point on the final day is saying that this ERC20 token is worth at least a couple of hundred times more than ether itself in its ICO. Much before day 7 and you're talking about paying thousands of multiples of ether's valuation. You couldn't make it up!

I wouldn't worry about fomo too much unless there are still some of these available in literally the last hour or so of day 7. If you see them selling before then, just feel sorry for those poor saps. The pricing for at least the first 95% of the running time of this ICO is nuts.

Just my opinion as a coin baptist.

I am JTCB.

PS they're still about $30 each just FOUR HOURS before the end of the ICO. haha. I amend my above comment - forget about this for the first 99% of the ICO. If there are some left in the finest hour you might pay a fair price for this token.

I have ethereum and I check it and spend it with my ether wallet. Will be I able to buy in your auction and get my metronome tokens with mew?

Hello,

Any ERC20 compatible wallet may be used to participate.

Thanks!
Thank you but after sending the Ethereum from myetherwallet to your auction address, how do we get the MTN tokens into our wallet?  Do they just appear in it automatically?

Correct, once the purchase is confirmed, the Auction contract automatically sends the MET to the ERC20 compatible wallet from which the purchase was made.

Legendary tech author, Don Tapscott, talks about his role as a Metronome advisor and the importance of self-governance. A key success factor for the new cryptocurrency Metronome.

And a weird reverse one too. You'll either buy too early and end up paying too much for the tokens, or you'll try to get in at the end and probably miss out altogether in the rush. Stupidity on stilts. Nice for the company though.

Shame because I liked the idea of this currency.

You might not get on any exchanges then, they usually require payment to list new currencies.
