hope change name can bring us good luck, and dev,any good news?
YarkoL is working on a new block explorer. We should see something soon. I don't want to give too many details on the next release at this time. We are still working out all the details. What I will say is there is active development behind the scenes. Anyone who would like to be part of the team or has something of value to add to MIL needs to PM me and we will discuss.

Aren't there already 20 coin that use MIL as a ticker?

Hahahaa.  That sounds funny but it's actually a possibility given we're now over 600 coins and nobody cares for any rules.  Next year will be really crazy when we blow past 3,000 coins.

Millennium coin.. in 2014? It was acceptable in 2000. Fail.

The word millennium does not pertain to year 2000. As defined by the freecitionary.com, Millennium means:

mil·len·ni·a (-ln-) or mil·len·ni·ums
1. A span of one thousand years.
2. A thousand-year period of holiness mentioned in Revelation 20, during which Jesus and his faithful followers are to rule on earth.
3. A hoped-for period of joy, serenity, prosperity, and justice.
4. A thousandth anniversary.

As far as the Ubuntu goes, more errors with some directory that doesn't exist (event2).

You need event library on your machine.
Code:
sudo apt-get install libevent-dev

The missing obj directory under src did fix the earlier problem. Will mess with the OSX stuff in a bit but I knew about the crashing on initial launch, it just never finds any nodes after the 2nd launch (zero connections to network).

Have you added the permanent node (see sample conf file in the OP)

Code:
addnode=fidikevyotzv22pz.onion

Thanks for pointing that out. The obj directory is missing,
you can create directory Millenniumcoin/src/obj and  see if it
compiles now.

As far as the Ubuntu goes, more errors with some directory that doesn't exist (event2).

In file included from tor/or.h:98:0,
                 from tor/addressmap.c:9:
tor/compat_libevent.h:18:25: fatal error: event2/util.h: No such file or directory
 #include
                         ^
compilation terminated.

The source code needs work. It doesn't build under Ubuntu or OSX 10.9, similar errors:

The mac wallet suffers from an issue that the win wallet
avoids, namely it crashes on initial run. On restart and for
all subsequent runs, it should be OK

edit: obj directory added now to the source.

The source code needs work. It doesn't build under Ubuntu or OSX 10.9, similar errors:
(ubuntu)
tor/millenniumcoin.cpp:59:1: fatal error: opening dependency file obj/*.P.d: No such file or directory
tor/address.c:1691:1: fatal error: opening dependency file obj/address.d: No such file or directory
(osx)
error: unable to open output file 'obj/*.P.o': 'Error opening output file
'obj/*.P.o': No such file or directory'
error: unable to open output file 'obj/address.o': 'Error opening output file
'obj/address.o': No such file or directory'

The mac wallet from the website runs but doesn't connect to anything:
refreshWallet
Flushed 1 addresses to peers.dat  2ms
No valid UPnP IGDs found

and just hangs there and the MillenniumCoin-qt pre-built from Mega (under Ubuntu) doesn't run either:
undefined symbol: _ZN5boost6detail17once_global_epochE

For what it's worth, the old MillionaireCoin wallets worked fine on both machines.

lol I remember this coin, poloniex, IPO?
Things are different this time around. No false promises or hype. All original crew from Millionaire Coin are MIA. This is a true community takeover and we actually have people who will support this coin. YarkoL has delivered Tor as promised. Now we will determine which features and improvements to implement next. Input from the community is always welcome.

So I HAVE to use Tor? Do I have to download any additional software or will the wallet just connect to Tor nodes on it's own?

No need to download anything, Tor is integrated to the wallet.
