Best thing to do would be to get this coin on as many ltc merge mining pools as you can. It should be easy to implement merge mining because both coins use the same prefix.

Still no windows wallet? I guess this one is dead for real now. I have over ten million on the old version, still waiting for a windows wallet download...

still here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8o8u90m6v38k7nb/magicinternetmoney-0.8.6.3-win32-setup.exe

Where is the 8.7 windows wallet? This hard fork was botched, the exchange called him out on it and still after months there is no clear path forward. Not sure I can trust that franko collective coins will be managed competently anymore.

This is the compiled 8.7 version. He's only forgotten to update the Windows version number settings.

I didnt forget, gitian just has a little bug in it when compiling. If you run the windows client and go to help debug console and type "getinfo" you will see you are on the correct version. If you werent then you couldnt merge mine.

This coin is just a fun coin that you can get to play around with when merge mining frk or ltc, its not to be taken seriously... Couldnt you tell by all the fun memes? BUT I will change the op Smiley It used to be 10 B a year inflation but we changed it because people wanted it lowered.

Thanks for fixing our coin, but I think you could have saved us from that comment, it didn't really do us any good. We also lost our two last exchanges, one because of miscommunication/offended and one because he can't find the right wallet and no dev answers.

I feel we didn't really give this coin a chance after it was hard-forked. Remember, each coin should have more value now after the block reward was taken down to 100.
Guys, this coin network hash has been very low for some time now and difficulty is ultra-low. You can easily solomine or merge-mine it and that would keep the coin alive!

There's still a lot of nodes/wallets out there and you can easily mine directly from the wallet, using just some of your CPU power!

This is how to do it:

Open up your MagicInternetMoney.conf located in "AppData\Roaming\MagicInternetMoney"

add this line:
Code:
gen=1

Restart the wallet.
That's all! You'll be generating coins!

This is my full MagicInternetMoney.conf
Code:
rpcuser=yourrpcuser
rpcpassword=yourrpcpassword
gen=1
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9792

So what the hell version should we be on? Because the github source is 8.7.1.

And I'm seeing a lot of people here saying they are on 8.6.something.

The coin is completely forked. I'm getting new blocks on 8.7.1.

And it's NOT the same block count as the 8.6 people.

We're removing this coin in a few days unless someone gets this crap fixed.

Stick with the repo.

8.6 is wrong, 8.7 is right. Where is the confusion?

confusion -> website download for windows wallet gives you version 8.6.3

same.
is there a place where someone can download the new compiled windows wallet ? Wink

The new wallet is still at https://www.dropbox.com/s/8o8u90m6v38k7nb/magicinternetmoney-0.8.6.3-win32-setup.exe

Dev, perhaps you could fix the link on the webpage to the new wallet?
It's also not in the announcement

To check and see if you are using the right version, open the QT and HELP->DEBUG->GET INFO

You can also go to the github and check the version file.

For some reason. compiling with gitian doesnt update the version file, and I honestly dont know why. I'll figure it out one day.

Inflation is only 105 MM per year, but the OP says 10 B. That's not a good way to be wrong.
