ok. this should help. hopefully you will have done a backup. i deleted my mintcoin file in appdata/roaming. deleted the mint wallet. downloaded and reinstalled the mint wallet.run wallet then shut it. open app/roaming again and open the mintcoin folder. create a new .conf file with
testnet=0
listen=1
addnode=198.241.46.170
addnode=162.243.4.85
addnode=211.28.143.54

rpcuser=your name
rpcpassword=your password
rpcport=12789
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1

then relaunch wallet,let it sync. then put your saved wallet.dat file back into the mintcoin file in app/roaming.let it sync again.sorted.

my mint address is in my sig. if it works for you i would appreciate any tips.cheers

This is the post that got my wallet working and sync started - the link in the OP with all of those nodes would not sync - WINDOWS 7 -  I jsut hope it syncs the entire blockchain now.

Trying it now still starts with no connections was there an amount of time you had to wait before the wallet started to have connections?

for PoS I don't understand how to mine:

mintcoin-qt -server
mintcoind walletpassphrase true

Where should I paste thoses commands that are in first post?

first one in a cmd Window to open wallet

second one in a debug window of the wallet

this is only when you encrypt you wallet, otherwise you don't need to do it.

I get this message in my debug file wondering if this is the case...

ERROR: GetMyExternalIP() : connection to 91.xxx.22.xx:80 failed  took out the numbers but its a full ip

this error too ERROR: CAddrman::Read() : open failed

this is just the normal connection messages I think, some nodes your client can not connect, they timed out etc. These nodes could be off the port of mintcoin (e.g. not running mintcoin client). I have a bunch of these, but I am able to connect to some other nodes.

If anyone could donate to offset my loss of 1M coins, here is my new(now backed up) address: MimwZXkz2RKvhZDCbfDyWPHb1iUC1aDWW3  . I'd really appreciate it.

If you can get my Mac Wallet to sync, i'll give you 20,000 Mint. Smiley
I was trying all day yesterday to get it to sync. I added the following to a mintcoin.conf text file and then saved it as ALL FILES. In the drop down menu when you're saving it change it from "Save as type:text document" to "Save as type:all files".  The moment that it started being recognized as a conf file, rather than a text document my wallet started to sync.

format > install windows or linux > install wallet... does that count?

Sorry couldn't resist lol

Wallet Update:  Windows 7 - I do not even have a config file in the downloaded wallet.  Just .exe and .dll files

That is correct, you have to make the config file yourself, as per original post

I dont have .conf file, just downloaded .zip wallet, unpacked and run, everything is ok.

Same for us, we have made our POOL working few minutes after the launch and I am also mining from the beginning with no issue on my wallet.
My .conf file only contains two node servers :

testnet=0
listen=1
addnode=9.207.10.24
addnode=66.18.67.23
maxconnections=100
server=1
daemon=1
rpcuser=XXXX
rpcpassword=XXXX
rpcport=12789
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1

Perhaps you need to wait for devs ansers or you can try to find the first version of the wallet which works like a charm !

You can still join us and mine on http://mnt.coins4everyone.com

Shit guys, stop with that wallet issue shit.......

THE NETWORK IS WORKING VERY WELL, so if you cant sync its your problem!!!!!
i'm mining and use the wallet from 20 min after launch and had any problem!!!

People should use the search engine on HOW TO SETUP WALLET.... you guys blame this tread of a wunderful coin that is working perfectly!!!!!!

i repeat, i just followed the first posts instruction to setup my wallet...I just created the conf file and relaunch my wallet, if you are not able to do this, please quit cryptos!!!!
and i repeat i'm a noob, i joined mining in december.... damn all this basic things are not so complicate to post pages over pages only with your stupid wallet question.

There are miners of 50+MHs and you think really that they would mine a coin if the wallet was not working?Huh

MINT network is working PERFECTLY!

Stop with your crap posting about the wallet and post some productive post for MINT Future!!

 what a knob.. please reread the posts troll boy. we had working wallets.now they don't work

I know my english is bad, its not my language! but i think you can understand what i say!

Once I added the nodes (2 lots) both of my wallets (windows and linux) synced without issues.   Windows didn't show it updating after block 2500 ish, but if you go to debug, you can see current block going up
