Apologies for the video quality.
A thank you to every single person, for anything you have done to make MUE what it is right now.
Here's to the future
https://youtu.be/cSrwDyQcazgI appreciate the video - I have been mining MUE with a little Baikal mini ASIC for a while now.
I have a question though, and I hope this doesn't sound disrespectful, but....
If you are changing to X11 and masternodes, wont that make MUE just a young clone of Dash? Dash has seen great success because it is pretty much what BTC was supposed to be, and it's already really well established and has a huge market cap and community. I also see PIVX doing something similar - but it just looks like a drive to get investors to buy up for MNs to me. Everyone knows that if you had bought into a Dash masternode when Dash was below $10 you would be VERY happy right now, so I think many people will think - "maybe if I get in while it's cheap it'll be a money making machine". Doesn't Dash already have this covered?
I guess what I'm asking is - what makes MUE different/better/more viable than Dash? What does it offer that Dash doesn't already have covered?
edit: also I forgot to ask - is there an official date for the swap/fork to X11?
Got to love those Baikal minis - I have one at home too.
Re code migration.
In simple terms you are right. Our migration does make us a "cheap" Dash, and that has attracted interest to MUE.
Our plan is pretty simple though.
We migrate to an already tried & tested, well developed & continually maintained code base i.e Dash.
That way we know we have the technicals totally covered. i.e The wallet is rock solid, the governance is rock solid, the sustainability is rock solid.
That means 99% of the headaches are sorted for us, and 99% of the resources are already provided by a 3rd party.
What does that mean for us? We can concentrate on adding the ecosystem & services that leverage that proven system and allow us to develop around the wallet.
We can concentrate on bringing new people to MUE with the many services & apps we have in the pipeline.
We can concentrate on creating the revenue generating services that will increase demand and adoption of MUE.
Where a coin "doing its own thing" with the wallet might spend 50% of its budget on wallet developers, we can spend 50% of our budget on creating more value for MUE.
So while we may be looking like a "cheap Dash", in fact, with what we have planned, we are a very cheap MUE
No official date for migration, first we do the public beta testing.
