The PR stunts HAVE been done, but the thing is no one has managed to do this well in such a short time.

Also, I tried contacting the US Mens National Soccer Team largest fan organization (The American Outlaws) to see if maybe they'd start accepting virtual currency (mentioning nautiluscoin specifically) for membership. Unfortunately not planned in the short term, but maybe in the future, they'll "keep it in mind".

Maybe I'm too negative, but I thought 10,000$ was almost impossible with such short deadline. If we can raise 5000$ I think we all deserve a drink as that's a pretty amazing feat for a coin that's been around for little over a month. I mean, even though it's not a ton of money in the grand scheme of things it's still something this little-over-one-month-old-community has rallied behind and made happen in about 24h. Pulling a PR stunt like this is something almost no other coin has done, and 99% of them have been around far longer than Nautiluscoin.

Seriously I'd love to see us reach at least level 3 funding.

We're almost up to 40k Naut for fitch! :-) Now is the time to throw some spare coins in there as the funding ends in 35 minutes. We're sooo close to reaching 5000$! Like, a couple of hundred bucks close!

If I knew what POS meant for a coin with support I wouldn't have dumped my blackcoin. That's why I mentioned marketing to outsiders earlier, would be great to get the message out to people who don't trawl this forum all day.

Yup, I agree completely. Also, regarding your point about the POS deadline, I think you have a point. Most people who don't read this thread regularly are not aware that POS is in the works, or at least not so soon. Some people I've talked to seem to think that the mining, and subsequent dumping, will keep going for the rest of the year. It will be a nice surprise to them when that ends and the only thing deciding the price will be supply and demand, and not miners dumping to make a ROI on their equipment.  

I think part of the problem is traders using the NSF to their advantage, they'll lose in the end but it's annoying at the moment.

Well, we're up more than 100% since a few days ago :-) We're building a new floor here, as the push over 30k was a little bit to much with so many people buying between 8-12k. It's hard to resist 300% profit, so I can understand why some people sold. The important thing is that the people who's buying at these levels want to see a return too, so now a good portion of the coins are in the hands of people who don't want to sell under 40k or higher. :-)

I sent a couple of small payments. Short deadline and community still growing so not a failure if we don't hit level 3. He actually mentioned NAUT at the press conference which was surprising, I thought he just had to wear the logo. People are really talking about NAUT on twitter now and not just the usual crypto types so this has paid off already.

I feel if we had a POS deadline people wouldn't be dumping, I'm still a bit surprised it's back under 20k though. I've got orders open anyway.

Awesome! I sent some more this morning as well :-) I don't think level 3 is out of reach at all, and even level 2 is amazing for such a short deadline and as new of a coin as this is. Either way it goes I think we should be really proud of ourselves. I mean, we're making history here in being part of one of the biggest advertisement campaigns in crypto. At the same time we're helping out an athlete pursuing his dreams, so it's great for everyone involved.

On a sidenote, I follow MMA very regularly and I know that a very large numbers of fighters are interested in digital currencies. Vertcoin actually had thing with Joe Lauzon, a UFC lightweight fighter, proposed a while ago but it never came through. Also Joe Rogan, the UFC commentator, has had Andreas Antonopolous on several times talking about Bitcoin. I think this sponsorship will have a HUGE cascading effect, and really put Nautiluscoin on the map for a ton of people.
