Does anyone buy these shirts? I imagine u order the one, wait for it, have it and bring it home and when u cross the doorstep ready to wear ur favorite nav shirt, someone knocks u out with a wooden implement resembling a long stick or bar with a rope hanging down from one side.

What about ability to sell as well as buy. Thiscway not needing to convert to bitcoin.

Currently we are only selling NAV. I will look into the effort of making it bi-directional as a next step Smiley

That would be amazing. Really excited with the potential developments if the coin.

Ok, so how actually can i buy NAV directly with credit card? Anyone can explain it to me?

Go to the store: http://store.navcoin.org/product-category/coin-bundles

Choose either the 100 or 1000 NAV bundle. You can adjust the quantities if you want to buy more eg. 5 x 100 NAV bundles for 500 NAV.

Then simply go to the checkout. Fill out your details and type your NAV address into the "additional information" field so we know where to send the NAV to.

Choose the Paypal option click "Proceed to PayPal. You will be directed to PayPal which allows you to pay with your credit card or PayPal account.

After I receive the payment I will send you the NAV Coin to your specified wallet.

Please note that you can orders over $20 will require more verification than just filling out the checkout form. For information on the verification and spending limits please go here:

Hi Nav Coiners,

It's time for the weekly update! In parallel to Navtech Decentralisation and the Nav Coin Conference we have been making amazing progress with some other work which I will share with you here.

Nav Coin Conference - 14 December 2016

The planning and promotion of the Nav Coin Conference is starting to ramp up. Our marketing team has been working on a press release which will be issued tomorrow to help spread the news about our live streamed 2017 Road Map Announcement at the event.

I am very excited with what we’re planning to include in the the 2017 Roadmap Announcement so far. I am confident that once you hear what we have in store for Nav you will share my excitement.

Only 8 days to go now, hold onto your hats!

Decentralisation Update

The decentralisation work is going full steam ahead. I am making really good progress with the code. I have finished all the required sending functionality and the last part that I am working on now is the MD5 hash verification module.

If you have been paying attention to the Navtech Network Status page, you will have noticed that one of the servers is in “Development Mode”. I have taken over 1 of the server pairs to test my updates on and I have been successful sending transactions with the updated code.

I am confident that I will have Decentralisation Release Candidate ready to start testing with our beta decentralisers by the end of my next Nav Week. I would say we are still on track to open source the code base before the Christmas Holidays.

Upcoming Articles

I have given two interviews over the weekend and we are expecting two articles published within the next week alongside our press releases for the Conference. One article is going on cointelegraph.es to help educate the Spanish Community more on Nav Coin. Juguelio has been a big proponent of Nav Coin to the Spanish Community and he was a big help to me during the video interview translating the questions and my answers.

The second article will be published on cointelegraph.com and is a comparison article of the various anon cryptocurrencies. We look forward to these and welcome any more writers who want to talk with us about our technology.

Purchase NAV with your Credit Card

Yes, you read that right. You can now buy NAV directly with your Credit Card or Paypal account. I have setup our merchant gateway on the Nav Coin Store to accept paypal transactions and I have posted coin bundles on the store:

http://store.navcoin.org/product-category/coin-bundles

To purchase Nav Coin through our online store using Paypal, you will need to complete some level of verification depending on how many coins you wish to purchase. The reason for this inconvenience is that both Credit Cards and Paypal are at high risk of fraud and possible chargebacks. To see the buying limits and get verified for purchases check out the verifications page:

http://store.navcoin.org/verification

The price is above poloniex market rate, but we are having to pay the paypal fees, foreign exchange fees and crypto exchange fees to close the loop on the trades. We are not aiming to make a profit from this service and we will always keep our prices as close to market rate + replacement cost as possible.

Please note that at present orders are processed manually to make sure you have the correct verification levels. We aim to process your order as quickly as possible, but please allow up to 24 hours for your order to be processed. If you attempt to order more than your verification level allows, you will need to either verify to the appropriate level or your Paypal account will be issued a refund.

Consider this a working demo with more improvements and automation to come.

Website Update

I have made some updates to the website again this week. Our top menu now has a “Services” page and our “Tools” menu which was previously just a drop down is now its own page.

http://navcoin.org/services

http://navcoin.org/tools

One of the reasons for creating the services page was that we didn’t feel like they were really done justice being hidden away in a text drop down menu. There’s only a couple items in there right now; CoinPayments & POSWallet but we are hoping to add to the services menu in the near future.

If you haven’t heard of POSWallet I do recommend checking it out. It’s an online web wallet that allows your POS coins to stake (unlike most thin or web wallets). It is however a 3rd party service, so as with all 3rd party services, we have to dish out our warning to use them at your own risk. From my experience they have been a reliable service thus far.

Wallet Update v3.9.0

Soopy has been busy implementing the new wallet syncing methods and making changes to the dnsseeder to help everyone on the full node wallet get better connections.

The new version of the wallet (3.9.0) is available on our github account if you want to have a sneak preview. We are still finalising the Windows & OSX versions for public release.

There are also still a couple wrinkles we’re ironing out with the dnsseeder but we hope to have that all resolved very shortly.

https://github.com/navcoindev/navcoin2/tree/master

That is about it from us this week, as you can see another busy week at Nav Coin HQ. We hope you enjoy the update. Keep an eye out for the coming press releases & articles and help us spread the word about the Nav Coin Conference.

Talk Soon,
Craig.

Great update as usual Craig!

Love the idea of purchasing Nav directly with credit card - I'm guessing prices are New Zealand dollars?

I noticed there was a 3.9.0 wallet running on the network a few days ago and figured something was brewing - good lad Soopy!

This year so far has been nothing short of awesome for Nav.

Well done devs! Keep up the amazing work - it really is appreciated!

Full Node Wallet Setup Guide

Nav Coin Full Node Setup
The Nav Coin Full Node wallets are the most comprehensive Nav Coin wallets available. They store the entire block chain on your system and are not reliant on any other services to operate. If you want to send Anonymous Transactions and have your Nav Coin's earn stake rewards by participating in block mining, this is the option for you. Staking is possible because Nav Coin makes use of Proof of Stake (Video, Another explanation).

Choose Your Platform

We have a full range of options which cover Linux, Windows and OSX. You can download the full node client here: http://navcoin.org/downloads

Once you've downloaded the Nav Coin Full Node wallet for your operating system, we can bootstrap the Blockchain to a more recent version which we provide as a download.

Quote
Bootstrapping The Blockchain

Step 1. Download the Nav Coin Blockchain Data zip from the downloads page and unzip it.
Step 2. Find your NavCoin2 folder in your users %AppData% directory. The AppData folder is hidden on most operating systems, so make sure you can view hidden files.

* Windows this is usually C:/Users//AppData/Roaming/NavCoin2/ (replacing with your actual computer's username)
* OSX this is usually ~/Library/Application Support/NavCoin2
* Linux this is usually ~/.NavCoin2/
If you can't find this folder, please google for where this is on your particular operating system.
Step 3. Inside this directory, delete all the files and folders except your wallet.dat file.

Step 4. Copy and paste the contents of the Nav Coin Blockchain Data zip into this directory.

The nodes we add here are ones which we (the Nav Coin development team) have provided. We will add more from the public network in the following steps
Step 5.Open your browser and navigate to the network page of our block explorer: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nav/#!network

Step 6. Click the [node list] button next to the latest NavCoin subversion. This will pop up an overlay which contains a list of the latest visible network nodes, shown inside the red box:

Step 7. Copy all these lines and paste them into your "navcoin.conf" at the end of the file.
Note: Everything inside the red box should be completely deleted/overwritten with the most recent nodes every time you update your configuration file.

Step 8. Check if you have the latest Navtech, anonymous, servers added to your config file by going to http://www.navcoin.org/network

Step 9. Save and close this file. Restart your Nav Coin Full Node Wallet.
If in the future you find that your Wallet is having a low number of connections, replace your addnode lines in the navcoin.conf file with the latest list from the block explorer. Just do this by following step 5, step 6 and step 7.

Any advice on how to get more connections for the windows wallet?  I am sinced and get some staking rewards, but I only have one connection.

Go to the network section of our block explorer.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nav/

There is a node button where you get latest list for addnodes!
