Is there a step-by-step guide for setting up mining for someone that has never done it before?

There is no mining, only staking. And the only thing you need for that is to leave your wallet running and not have locked it

Well hello there!
Way to go navcoin, nice to see the coin seems to be doing far better than when I exited sometime back. Always was real good at pickin the good ones, investing early and then getting out too soon :p

Anyhoo, keep up the great work guys...the more legitimate coins out there competing the better imho.

Hello,

I like your project, but I wanted to know if it was possible to shop with your cryptocurrency?

When I see Gulden and its application "Nocks" I want to know why such a solution does not exist for your cryptocurrency?

After all, only use in everyday life will enable the development and adoption by the crowd ...

Pending your response,

Regards,

Mr Pierre Bannwarth

Does the frequency and the amount your node wallet receives while staking rely solely on the amount you are staking or does the computing power also have an affect?

I'm curious. I've received 5 successful transactions out of 18 total transactions and was curious if a more powerful processor or more NAVs staked would increase that ratio.

No, not really because it is not that you are calculating with your CPU, you are just verifying blocks. Perhaps there would be an effect, if we talk about DX 33 CPU Smiley

Hi Nav Coiners,

We're very busy at Nav Coin HQ as usual. I'm just going to be brief today as I am hoping to post this weeks main announcements mid week to support the Thunderclap promotion ending on the 20th.

Speaking of the Thunderclap campaign, it is doing amazingly. Currently it has social reach of over 460,000 people! Please keep up spreading the word so we can reach as many people as possible!

I've been refining the anon scripts for another round of the beta testing. Please see my previous post for further details as to what we've uncovered in this round of testing. I also found another interesting situation where the wallet lock timeout finishes mid processing cycle so I am writing scripts which account for this situation and re-unlock the wallet if that error code is raised before continuing. For the beta testers, I hope to have the servers ready for testing again tomorrow. So I'll see you on slack.

Shahim is finalising the raspberry pi image which he has successfully used for staking. We are trying to get this out the door as soon as possible. It still requires some work to be done for the supernode syncing to work. So we will keep you updated and let you know as soon as the image is ready.

Stay tuned for more news this week and the thunderclap on the 20th!

Cheers,
Craig.

Make sure you're on v 3.7.0 and if you're still on 3.6.0 please download the latest version from the website. There is a sync fix in 3.7.0

Does the mobile wallet stake ??

No. Only QT wallets and also the pos web wallet. Look in the website. navcoin.org

600 supporters in the Thunderclap campaign!
Remember! 20k NAVs for grab!
https://www.thunderclap.it/projects/47929-navcoin-powered-by-the-people

Some made even 2 or more Twitteraccounts to grab the 20k NAV  Cheesy

But I'm curious for the exciting week that comes: Bitsquare, decentralization, Thunderclap
More people will discover NAV, what's a good thing

This is my way, this is my path.
Hi guys!!!

I'm a new member of this forum, but i already have read a lot about NAV!!!
Everything is pretty new to me... I've started to know the world of the altcoins about a month or two ago, but i am so glad i've found NAV as one of the first coins on my way  Grin

I have made a good investment by buying a decent amount of NAV and i'm enjoying the ride Cool

The dev team is great, keep up the good work guys!!!!

Welcome mate!

There's a Slack channel with more info about NAV on where dev jump in constantly and community brainstorm ideas.

Send a PM to @Pakage, @Strugg, @Shahim to join us!

Very nice to see an old coin with an active dev. How Crypto changed since the beginning.

how is anon send going?

To get this topic back on track I will address this question.

Testing is going well, when everything goes right, the scripts process beautifully.

With the help of the beta testers, we are uncovering some really obscure situations which by finding and fixing will give me much more peace of mind when we release this publicly.

For example, one of our incoming servers ran out of disk space due to all of the logging I have in place to help me analyse errors. This is something which should never happen in production because we won't be logging any data to the server when we are running the public release candidate for obvious privacy reasons.

However, it is random situations like these which can potentially occur for reasons out of our control. Like perhaps the disk space runs out because of some other data filling up the server which has nothing to do with the anon processing scripts. So I am taking some time to do two things; increase the disk space on our servers and make sure that this situation is handled in such a way that when disk space becomes available again the server can resume processing where it left off.

We hope to have a new version released to the beta group in the next couple of days when I resolve this issue with our host and in the scripts.

For now, we continue to march forwards Smiley

Cheers,
Craig.

There is no hurry.  There is no worry.  You guys are great.
