I asked him explicitly if he could briefly mention the NAV Thunderclap campaign in one of his videos before 20th October. I will follow his vids and keep you posted.

FWIW, I think you sound sensible. I'm not a great fan of cheerleading either.
But its a mistake to insist so much about your views online, especially when it gets to the point of altercations with other specific people.
Because in the end, it doesn't help your cause. It never does.
