Nice to see devs working hard on the project.  Roll Eyes

Also great to see the updates about to come this week.  Shocked

Price is holding nice around 2500 sats, pretty cheap right now. Smiley

I believe the coin will rally soon to 3k or maybe even 5k sats.  Wink

Lets see how this goes  Grin

If NAV gets featured on Forbes or WallStreet Journal, it will be epic Smiley

I am running wallet 3.6.0. I have also been getting an unusually large amount of stakes that I haven't been getting until recently
that are also not showing up on the explorer.

I feel like i need this stapled to my forehead. Perhaps i should make it my forum signature lol.

All jokes aside, please follow these instructions to load the latest block chain. You will see your coins arrive when you take these steps and resync your wallet

Pakage, as you know I always look for the most effective solution, so instead of a stapler, I guess
if you wanted to use a carpenter's nail, a 10 cm long ones, you may get a more... definitive effect.

 Grin Grin

An alternative solution, certainly better for you and all users, it could be that the DevTeam fix the
code of wallet/supernodes so that there is no longer need to manually load the addNode, or peers.dat.

IMHO, this should be a priority over any other development.

PS:
IMHO, Eventually also the pacemaker for the stake, could be useful.

Hello, I'm having an issue with receiving a deposit from Poloniex. It has been confirmed on Poloniex's end but when I look at the block chain explorer, it is showing my deposit as:

"Not yet redeemed"

Jus ta repost to all that have problems with changing amounts or whatever. This will make you a clean wallet to stake and that is on the correct chain:

1. Delete all files instead wallet.dat and navcoin.conf from the working directory.
2. Load the latest Blockchain data (I just made an update) from www.navcoin.conf/files/Nav-Blockchain.zip
3. Unpack this zip into your working directory
4. Update the navcoin.conf :

Use this:

rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=44444
port=44440
listen=1
daemon=1
server=1
txindex=1
staking=0
maxorphanblocks = 10000

5. get addnodes from here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nav/#!network  (klick on "node list" from 3.6 wallet)  add this list to you navcoin.conf.
6. You have already the Wallet 3.6 ? Otherwise Download from our website please. Please do not use 3.5 anymore.
7. Start the Navcoin-qt.exe
8. make a "checkwallet" on the debug window
9. close Navcoin Wallet again
10. open CMD and go to the Navcoin wallet folder where your exe is in.
11. start your wallet with: navcoin-qt.exe -rescan

Hey Nav Coiners!

It's time for this weeks update from the dev team.

I've been busy continuing with my work porting the Anonymous Transaction Network to NodeJS. I've made good progress this week and am looking to get this new source running on our test network over the next few days. We will have a better idea of the launch date of the new software once I have run the first round of security and performance tests.

Strugg has been working with a graphic designer to customize the Nav Coin Mobile wallet layout to be in line with the Nav Coin branding. So far its looking good and we hope to have this update to the wallet pushed out soon.

Shahim has been helping me with the Anonymous Transaction Network testing and setup as well as working towards finishing the Web Wallet.

Soopy is has been busy adding the finishing touches to the Thin Client for Desktop. More information from him on that shortly.

Mark and Sophia have had a productive planning session over the weekend to formalize the marketing strategy moving forward. Mark has also completed his first article for the team which you can view here: Nav Coin Attains Dedicated Tor® Nodes

We will be pushing this out to some News sites in the coming days.

All systems are go and we are steadily moving forward. Exciting times for Nav Coin as we start to wrap up our next few projects and head towards the ultimate goal of decentralising the Anonymous Transaction Network!

Talk soon,
Craig.
I think the future navcoin will be better, awesome  Cool

Thanks I often have TBB up anyway.
Now have wallet on TOR. Made two versions of .conf  TOR or no TOR that I can swap.

Looking forward to the guide.

I wonder if the RasPi staking wallet will do TOR
this looks like it might be fun to try out.

Asking a few questions for using TOR

Ok I followed the links and found the addnode values for each.

Quote

What else do I need to do?  there were some reject settings. is that for the service or should it be added to the .conf file?

You would need to use the navcoin.conf from this post to connect your wallet through Tor:

- https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.15855117

These addnode=.onion services are not running websites. They are simply running navcoind as a Tor hidden_service !

You can easily connect Navcoin using the Tor Browser Bundle (as it runs Tor for you when you start the Tor Browser), however, you would need to keep the TBB open to maintain the Tor SOCKS connection for Navcoin to use. So, this method is only really useful for sending transactions. If you want to run / stake Navcoin 24/7 over Tor then installing the Tor Expert Bundle (Standalone) is advised.

You can confirm that you are connected via Tor in your Navcoin console, using getpeerinfo

A full connectivity guide can be established once I have communicated more with the Navcoin dev. team.

~ Ever since the release of the Tor Browser Bundle, folks have increasingly begun to see the Tor network as purely an anonymous web browser. Its so much more. A good example for using your own private hidden_service is setting up an SSH connection into your home 'linux' box, for connecting from anywhere with total privacy and anonymity.
