Do we really need 30sec block time? Maybe 1 min would be better to avoid blockchain bloating and it should still be fast enough.

Will the online/light wallets be able to stake?

Will NAV Coin 2.0 still be a Proof-Of-Stake coin or will there be a new Proof-Of-Work phase for mining new coins?
What will be the block time in the new blockchain, are there any block parameters changing?
Will we still be able to do anonymous tx on the new blockchain?

1. still POS, we are mining the needed coins in the first block
2. blocktimings etc all stays the same
3. yes, like announced anon will be ported.

I was hoping for an update but this is more than I can handle  Cheesy

I'm surprised that the recommended way to swap is though an exchange. I hope nothing goes wrong cause I have a significant amount and dont feel like keeping it there. Not after what happened with mintpal 2 years ago.

I suppose we dont really have to do anything other than keep the coins in our bittrex accounts and wait for bittrex to credit them on a new address, and then we can withdraw on our new wallet, right?

It is all coins from the faucet you have Tongue

After that you can of course withdraw your coins again. And after that 2 weeks you are also able to swap manually, like said.

regards
shahim

Morning guys!
Congrats for the announcement.
Quick question: What will happen with Poloniex? at the moment is where most trades are happening.

We will notify poloniex and all other exchanges nav is traded on to make sure they notify their users about the correct procedure to swap their nav. The coin swap through bittrex is only temporary. After the coin swap the new coin will be tradable on all other exchanges as per usual Smiley

Great Work Nav team!

Now this REALLY needs to hit the newswires!

Thanks! We are on to this. We are going to make sure this gets distributed through appropriate channels over the next couple of weeks so everyone who has nav will have the opportunity to swap! Also so we spread the good news!

Bittrex have handledone numerous coin swaps before with no bad reports. We will iron out the details with them over the next few days and convey all the assurances to you Smiley

Holy shit batman that's a sweet update.

one question about the Swap though it will just be available for 2 weeks ?
So then in one big swoop we would remove the Cryptsy risk and all the coins in forgotten wallets would all be worthless after that ?
That could be a Huge reduction in the total amount of coins.

Allmost forgot ^^ Nice work Nav team Cheesy
