Roadmap and new...?  Embarrassed

Roadmap is finished, but we're just doing some finishing touches, there's more at play than you know, so it requires a bit of extra finishing touches. But I will be within my announced time of two weeks from the time I said that, it will be likely the weekend or by mid next week that you'll see the roadmap and closely followed by a BUNCH of new things, then you'll see why it took us a minute. Smiley

Also, setting up a news style set, and starting professional BURST videos and various other things today and tomorrow, you'll start seeing some VERY high quality BURST related news style videos coming out here soon, we even have access to my fiance's 2500 dollar  DSLR camera. Wink

When you see the roadmap (which isn't even 1/4 of the TOTAL of what we're ACTUALLY working on, just the active stuff RIGHT NOW) you'll see why this took a little time to get organized.

Never fear, you know I always do what I say!

Also, @bonus payout, I didn't forget, just got caught up developing a few things, but I'll get that accomplished soon!

Possible to add ALL burst function to the left side panel (e.g escrow) ?

Will also need a "home" link on the side panel. Once I go to crowdfunding there isn't any link to go back to home

-[ANN]- BURSTaker asset payment announcement, etc.

Hello everyone, not sure what I said about the first payout of BURSTaker, but I've decided that I WILL do one this month, since the initial sale of the asset didn't sell out.

This means that the holders are likely to get a very good return, and I'm giving ample announcement time before doing the payout so that you have a chance to get in and catch a payout right away!

BURSTaker asset - Payout will be in roughly 5 days from now. Very few percentage sold so far Smiley - 15208279992621279224

BURSTeam asset - Payouts coming very soon! - 14092376023955917604

What stops some data centre's from heavily centralising the mining ?

IMO the fact that they have to PLOT the space with hashpower, and can't use the space for storage, keeps datacenters out of the game, because they would have to DEDICATE themselves to BURST, and I doubt they're willing to take that risk, as they would not be a datacenter anymore, they would be a BURST mining farm. Nothing, however Datacenter/Enterprise storage is not cheap. But yes, someone with cheap access to major bulk storage could influence the coin.

I am interested in starting to mine.  But clearly you need some serious Hard Drives to make a real go of it.
So a couple of questions:
Where do find the cheapest drives?  And by cheap I mean in terms of $/TB.  I have found a few 8TB drives on eBay.  Cheapest I can find is about $30/TB.  Any better alternatives?
Are there any tricks to adding and mining the most drives possible on one mobo?  I mean assuming power is not a problem.

I am using the standard windows client (BURST_Wallet_GUI_Setup_0.2.5.exe) right now to plot a 3TB drive in total.  I have it on a 2 core CPU and after about 6 hours I'm at 2% and averaging about 730 noonces/minute.
This is an older cpu that I used for gpu mining years ago, but the only spare I have.  I suppose if I get serious I'll need to find a faster one.  Is there a better way to do it?  Different software?
I suppose I can plot a drive on a faster pc then move it to the mining mobo.  Is that right?

Thanks in advance.

You can easily plot on another machine with a fast GPU then move the plotted drives to another computer, no problem!

Also, you can run a TON of drives per machine with USB, even USB2 works great! I personally have a computer with drives D-P running just fine, all USB3.0. You can even get kits to convert internal drives to USB. Obviously USB is my choice for mining, as it just makes it easier, I also have many laptops running miners, and since BURST costs nothing for resources, they run just the same as my other desktop or rackserver miners.

BURST is very very versitile with its mining. One of the many great things about it!

You can even mine on a raspberry pi with 16TB of drivespace. Just might be a tiny bit slower when reading the plots, due to the slower CPU. But in my opinion, and this should answer the other person's question above regarding read speed as well...

As long as your'e reading all of your plots in 1.5 min or less, you're doing alright. But the fact is, even up to 2 min is still okay, and if you're running a miner that takes no power at all, the tradeoffs there are obvious.

I'm excited about PoC2 algo and the improvements there, definitely going to be a fun year for BURST! Thanks for joining us, let us know if you've got any other questions!

I recommend you to use a GPU plotter if you have a good graphic card lying around.

Here is a good tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVIhqKUdve8

Yeah, should be possible to plot on one pc and move the plots to another one for mining, but mining also needs some cpu power, and u have to pick the right staggersize I guess...
