http://burstcoin.biz is a great resource for the community, but it's going off-line almost every single day.  Roll Eyes

Could we together offer the owner (?) a more stable host (CF) for the site...? Or could the site even be part of the burst-team.us hosting arrangement?

I would be glad to take over the hosting of the site, and also remove all the nonsense they have added that slowed the site down considerably. But... on the plus side, we're having another blockex designed as well.

You mean you are developing a new one, replacing the broken block.burstcoin.info?  Huh

I must say that BURST feels very different now than just 6 months ago, like money isn't stopping the development. Has an angel visited the BURST HQs?  Cheesy

Perhaps with so much going on amongst devs, some kind of roadmap would be appreciated by possible investors? We as owners don't have so much info on plans and what's coming. On the other side, I like the low price when buying.  Grin

BTW, I got access to Karl Perkin's old BURST tweets on undervaluation that ended prematurely for some reason, and I will be posting the still relevant tweets shortly. Thanks Karl!

-[ANNOUNCEMENT]- Ninja Pool changes.

At 6PM EST today, the acceptance deadline on Burst.Ninja is going to be dropping from 8 days down to 6 Hours. If you cannot consistently generate a deadline less than 6 hours, we're asking you to switch to pool.burst-team.us. The burst-team pool is run by the same people as Ninja, has the same interface, but accepts deadlines up to 32 days. Industrial scale miners should stay with Ninja, everyone else switch to burst-team.

Pool url: pool.burst-team.us ports 80 or 8124
Wallet Address: pool.burst-team.us:8125
Reward Assignment address: BURST-32TT-TSAC-HTKW-CC26C

Burst.Ninja has way too much hash power currently, and that will be unsettling to any potential investors. Lets make Ninja the pool to goto for mega scale miners, and burst-team.us the pool for the rest of us.

H.

You could of give us some notice of this action! A few days to switch over would have been nice, found my miners practically idle and had no idea why.

-[ANN]- Ninja pool changes upcoming.

We have moved the deadline limit back to 8 days for now, but we are going to be moving it back to 1 day or so by the end of the week.

To smaller miners, please move your miners to the new pool where the deadline limit is much higher to see better returns.

Since ninja has mostly large miners, we have decided to separate the pools more and make it more of a differential setup. The ninja pool will now be setup for larger miners and dedicated to servicing them, and the new pool (http://pool.burst-team.us) a clone of ninja with different settings, will be there for the smaller guys to maintain better income than they would on ninja, and also further decentralize the network, thanks!

PLEASE MOVE YOUR MINERS TO http://POOL.BURST-TEAM.US TO DECREASE THE POWER OF THE NINJA POOL. IT HAS GROWN BEYOND ITS MEANS. WE WOULD LIKE TO DIVERSIFY THE POWER, THANKS!

Something is wrong on the network, ninja & burst-team are out of sync with different people winning the same blocks?

Rich

OK sorted now....

Happens when one of them gets on a bad chain, but they jump back after a block or two. Think it also causes the issue where one of the pools appears to have the best block, but another nonce beats it - different chains, the rest of the network won't confirm the orphan.

H.

And if ninja has +51%, I guess their "winner" won't be the orphan...?

An idea...

How about to create a purely dedicated site for BURST's CF feature? I'm aware of https://wallet.burst-team.us:8125/atcrowdfund.html, and it does its thing, but I'm thinking of something more like a well-designed, stand-alone "portal" where you find a tutorial, FAQ, a list of funded project and emphasize that everyone with a BURST address can start a CF in minutes along with the other benefits of crypto CF. Perhaps even integrating a chat on the "Portal page"?

Below that, you put the link to /atcrowdfund.html. Also, if you can come up with a very PR friendly name for it with a real simple URL, I think we can get a lot of attention from the general, huge CF community due to the simplicity, no-fees and freedom perhaps not found on established CF platforms.

Would we get attention by the established CF community, we would also get a lot of free PR as these guys are experts in that area to get their projects funded.

Yea, this is already in mind, my mind. I'm planning a redesign and something on a domain. don't worry, just a lot of other stuff going on too. Wink

-[ANNOUNCEMENT]-

REALLY NEAT VISUAL CHANGES!

Earlier this week, daWallet presented me with an offer to have a really neat visual modification done to the BURST wallet, I took him up on the offer and paid for the developer to make it happen...

We ended up with...

https://wallet.burst-team.us:8125/new/index.html

I personally could stare at it all day, love it!

Let me know what you all think!

For those of you who don't want to click links, here's a video of the awesomeness.

I'll be doing another vid on How to Use Assets and a few other things tomorrow!

I like it, but it is not following my mouse, just staying on the middle, near the input box.
Windows 8 (heurk) - Google Chrome (...), devs will kill me :p

As far as the CF stuff goes you might want to take a look into what is happening with Qora in this regards (and maybe try and work out whether both projects could benefit from some cross-promotion).

We are working very closely with vbcs already, and QORA. I know we'll be implementing many of their changes for sure. Thanks Ian!

Nice! Cross-promotion would be awesome as, I think, it'd need quite a bit of planning and PR; but if we could "get" the general CF folk's attention, I'd go all-in in both coins. The market is so damn large, and we have AT as a definite security that people would get their funds back if a project doesn't reach its goals. Trustless as it should be  Smiley

I ran into a problem with the new wallet version. I wanted to change mining pool. So I picked pool.burstcoin.de from the menu and changed reward assignment.
After it reached 4 conf. I clicked start mining and then  start mining (default). Doesnt work so I look in app/roaming for the config file.

Can't open those ports right now.

The config wasnt autoconfig correctly! It will mess up someone that is new to burstcoin!

Thanks for the info. NotABeliever (pool.burstcoin.de) should use the standard ports we all use or tell me the right ones. I prefer the first option. Smiley
