Just to throw a heads up about a new Asset that I released the other day thstake.

The announcement thread on the official burst forums can be found here:

https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/780/new-thstake-asset

Here is the original post about the asset:

I would like to announce the creation of a new asset within the burst universe based on staking coins. The asset is similar to the one provided by the burst team, however with mostly different coins contained within it.

Asset ID: 18176646582737130927
Burstcoin Wallet ID: BURST-Q94J-49K3-RTGF-CJSYR
Total Number of Assets: 1,000,000 (One Million)

Initial Cost per asset: 15 burst coins Estimated value is 6.6 bitcoin in total value.

Coins to be staked (starting out) are as follows:

Bitbeans (bitb): current value in btc: 0.00000008
Hyperstake (hyp): current value in btc: 0.00000045
Hyper (Hyper): current value in btc: 0.00002062
Diamond (DMD): current value in btc: 0.00046800
OKCash (OK): current value in btc: 0.00000566
NetCoin(NET): current value in btc: 0.00000032

Current wallet addresses can be viewed at the provided link(s) below:

Bitbeans:

Hyperstake:

Hyper:

OKCash:

Diamond
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dmd/address.dws?dca5KMhYXVWi2J2sMoZw1hQdJe9tkGqTHp.htm

NetCoin: Wallet address nQ9vDqLnWUbbhp5aruatiVfyhDkCL9G9Aw
https:// not available at the time of thread posting

Dividend Amount: 80% of stakes over the course of 1 month. Payment should be on or around the first Monday of each month.
Retained stake amount: 15% of stakes over the course of 1 month
Maintenance fee: 5% Fee is used to purchase shares back from the general public, once all initial offered shares are sold, at current market values.

Information gathered from the following thread was used in the creation of this asset:

https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/732/thinking-of-starting-another-staking-asset

I am planning on trying to do a dividend for July, however if asset sales are low, it may not be possible due to low volume. If that is the case, the first dividend should be available September 5, 2016 (first monday of the month) for stakes earned from initial launch through the month of August.

FYI, as stated in the previous thread, I have added a starting amount of 3.4x Million Bitbeans to the staking potential of the asset. I reserve the right to remove that amount of coins in the future for other investments as I see fit. ALL OTHER COINS CURRENT AND FUTURE ARE PROPERTY OF THE ASSET AND NO SINGLE PERSON OR INVESTOR.

Also, any funds or tips that are sent to the burst wallet of the asset, will be used to purchase more coins for the asset.

If anyone has an questions or concerns please let me know. Thanks for the interest in this guys! Lets all do our part and help make all of these coins, as well as Burst (obviously) more wanted, and more secure!

hmm, dont know if/what i did wrong but my wallet is still stuck...

Mine was too, but I managed to resolve it. Try this: Quit the wallet client (make sure it is gone from system tray too), go to AppData - Roaming - BurstWallet - burst_db and delete the burst.h2.db file. If you have problems deleting it, you can force quit java from task manager. Then, you can either fire up the wallet client again and manually sync the blockchain (didn't try that), or you can go to http://db.burst-team.us and download and unzip that same file you deleted earlier, and put it in the same folder. Then, when you fire up the wallet client, it should already be up-to-date, or else it will sync in no time at all.

Note: I have sometimes had problems installing one of the .jar files during previous windows wallet client installations (not this time though). It could perhaps be due to a java process running, or something else. However, a simple restart of my computer solved the issue.

everything running smooth as usal again, thx  Smiley

it could be that the db is messed up from before, I would say just let it resync. But we've done testing on many different systems for many days and not a single person had the issue and many of the systems had the issue previously. Try re-syncing the db.

-[ANNouncement]- BURST version 1.2.4 fix pushed to github publicly

https://github.com/burst-team/burstcoin/releases

New windows client thanks to daWallet - https://sourceforge.net/projects/burstwindowswallet/

This is to announce the fix for BURST version 1.2.4 being public. Our wonderful dev team has solved the issue that plagued about half of the users, and now with 5 days of testing on multiple different types of systems, and ones that did have the previous errors, have proven the errors resolved.

We apologize for the mis-step in releasing without proper testing, and have put new protocol in place to ensure that it never happens again. Growing pains of a great cryptocurrency as it were.

Anyway, thank you for being part of the ever-growing BURST community, and stay tuned for some massive PR moves in the near future we're currently planning!

Thanks!

GREAT news I will also promote it on various Social Media Platforms today.

Recently had an issue when attempting to launch a CF for you, so I think I'll wait till we do the fix release a bit later today, then try after that. I haven't forgotten about you! Cheesy As far as I'm concerned, crowdfunding is the way of the future of getting development funding. Smiley

...
The way PoC2 will function, is completely different in that particular aspect. The current algo is solid in every aspect, only thing that anyone has ever brought up is disbelief in the fact that GPU and ASIC mining isn't viable, but according to anyone who has tested it, a high end GPU can only mine equivalent of 35GB or so of HDD space.
...
@all I tried generate nonces on-the-fly at CPU (8 cores) - I got equivalent of 8GB of HDD  per 4 minutes
you can try too https://github.com/Blagodarenko/miner-burst/blob/v1.160705/miner.cpp#L489
