Premine status: 4,688,000 (of 5,000,000) PIGGY remaining.

Now offering a 300,000 PIGGY bounty for a trusted crypto-community member to compile the newest desktop piggybank (wallet) for the Mac.  That's v1.2.2.0 'Operation Sever-Chain'.

Confirmed for myself, it is in fact a 1.5% fee.  Sorry about that.  We'll fix it if we can.

Sounds good. And don't worry about these TX's - I just figure they're a donation to the network or development or whatever.  Wink

Tonight I tried the reverse - sending Piggycoins back to my Windows wallet from their online Piggybank. The message that popped up said there would be a fee of 1980 PIGGY to send 130,000 Piggycoins, or 1500 PIGGY to send 100,000 PIGGY. Why the extreme difference compared to sending with the Windows wallet? Is the fee for the online piggybanks getting distributed with the staking, or is it being used to fund something?

I think we decided to just have a flat percentage fee for the online wallet, for simplicity.  That's what the coder wanted to do and we figured we could always change it later, but now unfortunately the coder seems too busy to help us  Sad.

No idea what happens to the fee tbh.  I had a quick search for our discussions on that but couldn't find them.  Maybe neurocis knows.  Or eblieber, if you send us the transaction number, we can have a look on the blockchain and see what fee was paid there.

Here are transaction ID's for some PIGGY withdrawals from the online piggybank:

70fa17149ced5963a2ad7d4aba97e9ac190aa43807849027928e2b6379a09c91

Looks like the piggybank withdrawal fee went to the same address in all 4 cases:
pdYnbkBUPuATrisMws1RJEysWoxHp48LG9

Looks like the 4 I did account for 80% of the funds there now; it has mostly tiny transactions stretching back to 9/17 with no spends. Hopefully it's part of a wallet for dev purposes. :-)

Looking back through chat history, it seems that the web piggybank transaction fee was meant to be 0.15%.  But from the two examples you gave, it seems it was in fact set to 1.5%   Sad

Hey everyone, good to see this coin is back and moving again!

Been away for a while and found this link, is it possible to get
my old coins switched to the new ones? I have the very old
1.3 wallet and will not sync (know there is a new one)

Can anyone help me out?
Thanks

Please contact neurocis at piggy-coin dot com for instructions on how to perform the swap from PIG to PIGGY ;8]  I think you have to sign messages from your old addresses.

Thanks for the information, I just emailed them.

neurocis told me on 3rd June that he'd PM'd you.

Trying to get a Mac build of v1.2.2.0 'Operation Sever-Chain', but no response from MaxPower, who made the v1.2.1.1 one.  Anyone else who can do it?

UI bug isn't resolved yet but I think it'd be a very good thing to have more people on v.1.2.2.0 -- It doesn't relay blocks from older, pre-fork wallets so helps the whole network in that sense.

Good idea. Since I imagine the game should be revenue positive or at least neutral for the game devs, I would assume advertising should be used to support it (to provide funding for the piggycoins earned playing the game), or the ad-free purchase fee you mention.

I haven't actually seen the Farm Satoshi game, but I imagine that one could also have upgrade options (paying for various items/enhancements within the game with Piggycoins) that would also help balance things out.

One neat thing about this idea is that if constructed right, it might be possible to create additional "modules" to the game that provide teaching/instruction on many different topics, without a whole lot of additional effort.

I was actually thinking it would be cool to make the game modular. So maybe it starts out as a farming game, but over time devs could add other scenarios, such as owning your own restaurant or running a pet shop, and the game player, as a single character, can play whichever scenario he wants, or switch from one to the other. I provided more details about what's in my brain about it in this article called The perfect quest based learning game and there's been some further discussion over at CryptoMoms.

Yes, making it profitable for the developers would be very important Smiley

I would recommend trying out Farm Satoshi as a very basic and simple starting point. At this time, as far as I know, it's the most sophisticated online game where you can earn Bitcoin. It can definitely be improved but it's actually pretty good. At the very least it's the most fun faucet ever.

Hmmm - when I sent a transaction to my kids using my Windows wallet, there was a network fee of something like 0.0001 Piggycoin to send the funds. That's pretty cheap! No complaints there.
