At the moment everything depends on what the Eth community decides regarding hard fork/soft fork IMHO. We are technically ready to go but a few days wait would be prudent.
Regarding Wallets...MIST is the most user friendly for managing ETH tokens. With myetherwallet you are only able to move DigixDAO & DAO tokens at this time.
