Merry Chiristmas

i have worked out two test use cases:
1. 20 steps use case
it does nothing just running 20 steps and stop.

2. dead loop use case
it runs forever until it uses out of its coins.

Nice stuff, but for the sake of TX volume, can we get some dividend paying assets?  Like a pass thru to MMNXT or something?

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm looking at MMNXT now, and I could also do one for Coinomat. (Both promise weekly dividends.) The return on the latter is pretty thin right now, though, and so's the market. Coinomat's hard to buy unless you settle for the ask. MMNXT looks easier to buy below the ask, but even it would require a little patience.

I'll see what I can raise, Nxt-wise...

When is btc2nxt planning to do this?

At the moment he is working on AT.

It's difficult to approximate when we are ready to work on ACCT. ACCT needs two coins.
you mean btc2nxt  will join in the cooperation development with NFD coin?

He is already working together with us since approximate a month.
We announced the collaboration on 7th December, the day after the first working AT in a hidden AT testnet.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9765893

We will release a public testnet soon.

This is huge!  NFD, who would have guessed?!

Hey, everyone! I just issued another gateway Asset on the NFD Asset Exchange. The backing for this one is a little more active than Nxttycoin...

Announcing...

NFDSupeNet!

10'000 Issue, Fully Backed By 100 UNITY
Redeemable On Demand
Each NFDSupeNet Redeemable For 1/10'000th Of The UNITY In
Backing Account NXT-985M-7ERQ-3TNB-GVRCU

Buy, Sell Order From Issuer
Matched To Nxt Asset Exchange

The full announcement post is here.

It's getting late now, so I think I'll tell the Nxters and the Supernetters tomorrow. Wink

EDIT: I didn't. Largely, because I forgot in the flurry of changing the bids & asks to keep up with Nxt's jump and Supernet's ever-changing orderbook. But when things calmed down, and when I saw that this Asset and NFDNxtty didn't even lead to more downloads of the NFD client (let alone buys of it at Bter), I figured it was best to quietly offer it as a service to the NFD community. Frankly: I'm worried that the Supernetters would just see it as a chance to scoop up Supernet at a discount, after which they'd redeem and clean it out. If that's how it's going to go, I'd rather keep NFDSupeNet in the NFD family.  Smiley

MaWo: are you implementing Atomic Cross-Chain Transfer?
btc2nxt will do for NFD.
ACCT is a use case of AT.
http://ciyam.org/at/at_atomic.html

Not Atomic, it will be Automated Transactions (AT), right?

Automated Transaction (AT) will allow atomic cross-chain trading (ACCT) with a second coin which is ACCT capable.

Translation:
AT allows to run small programs in block chain. Such a program can implement all functionality to exchange coins betwean two different blockchains (ACCT) without a third party like an exchange.
You not have to trust anyone. Your coins are always save.
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Atomic_cross-chain_trading

There are many more use cases for AT. ACCT is only one of AT.

Can't withdraw NFD from Bter. Status has been on "Waiting for balance..."for few hours now. Can anyone else confirm please.

The last transaction from bter wallet NFD-KMSF-LLBS-6CGA-8FREY was on 13th of December.

I did a test withdraw:
Waiting for balance...

I wrote a ticket to bter support.

Nxtblg, I am sorry to highjack your ann. with this concern, but something is not right with bter.  I am just worried about my coins as it never took this long to withdraw NFD.  Also, right now I have about 1M PTS in my account, but they only allow withdrawal of 500PTS at a time, + they are charging 1%+25PTS fee per transaction. Since this is clearly a scam, I am worried about my coins, including NFD, I have about 17M stuck on withdraw and have not gotten any reply from their support.

Sometime ago I wrote a "increase withdrawl limit" ticket and now I have a daily withdraw limit of 50 million NFD instead of 20 million.

That's quite all right! Bad luck on both our parts... Undecided

I wish I could check myself, but I withdraw my NFD as soon as I buy some. My last buy was some time ago.

If it doesn't get settled, please let us know. Maybe someone else can try and see if Bter's code is messed up.

Announcing...

NFDNxtty!

100'000 Issue, Fully Backed
Redeemable On Demand

Buy, Sell Order From Issuer
Matched To Nxt Asset Exchange

NOTE: NFDNxtty is issued independently of Nxtty. There is no relationship between me and the Nxtty crew.

The full announcement is on this thread. Here's the fact-sheet & tl;dr:

NAME: NFDNxtty
ASSET ID NUMBER: 7691512536154962225
ISSUING ACCOUNT: NFD-T4MX-HYMV-2J6M-AR9KM. Balance inspectable at the NFD Block Explorer.
NUMBER OF UNITS: 100'000
BACKING: Dedicated Nxt account  NXT-KDCA-U92R-9FSG-7KS4F. Holdings of Nxtty identified at bottom of block explorer page.
BENEFIT: Each unit of NFDNxtty is redeemable on demand for one Nxttycoin sent to the redeemer's choice of Nxt account. In addition, the issuer will place sell and buyback orders and adjust them according to market conditions as specified by the Nxttycoin orderbook in the Nxt Asset exchange. The issuer will make a reasonable effort to keep up with the current orderbook in the Nxt AE, so as to assure a reasonably fair price for NFDNxtty.
PRICE: Will vary according to market conditions. The same pledge made just above applies to the issuing prices of NFDNxtty tranches, as does the same reasonable-effort proviso.

What this mean is, you can buy Nxttycoin through NFDNxtty without having to go through the hassles and slippage of selling your NFD and buying Nxt at Bter. You'll get NFDNxtty at a fair price that's calibrated to NFD's low ask at Bter. It's as if you sold your NFD at the current ask!!

And, as specified in the NFDNxtty announcement, NFDNxtty is redeemable on demand from the fully-backed dedicated Nxt account NXT-KDCA-U92R-9FSG-7KS4F. All it takes is an Asset Transfer within the NFD ecosystem and a message to tell me which Nxt account to send it to, and you've bought Nxttycoin at the low ask! The only slippage will come from the bid-ask spread for Nxttycoin itself at the Nxt AE.

Now, here's where it gets fun! I pledge to match my sale order with the low ask for Nxttycoin at the NXT AE, and I also pledge to put in a buyback order that matches Nxttycoin's high bid. I will adjust both, within a reasonable timeframe, when Nxttycoin market conditions change.

So...if Nxttycoin slumps, I'll lower my buyback bid but I will also lower the ask. If Nxttycoin jumps up, I will hoist up the ask accordingly but I will also raise my bid.

What this means, folks, is that I'm making a micro-market in NFDNxtty that'll match Nxttycoin's price as gauged by NFD's low ask. If you want Nxttycoin, there's no need to be scalped by selling your NFD at the bid or waiting for your sale order at the ask to go through!

Because of this micromarket-making, you can use NFDNxtty to speculate on Nxttycoin itself with minimal slippage!

If you're wondering how I can afford this, the dedicated Nxt account is double-backed. Also, I'm doing some spread-trading of Nxttycoin itself in the Nxt AE and I've been doing pretty well so far. Grin If my current lowball bid in the Nxt AE gets met, I'll have bumped up the balance in the dedicated account to 215,000 Nxttycoin. I only started with 200,000 and 6 Nxt. Smiley

So...with the double-backing, the profits I'm making spread-trading Nxttycoin, the (small) spread profits I might make through market-making on the NFD AE, plus the >66 million NFD I've got in my account NFD-T4MX-HYMV-2J6M-AR9KM, I can easily take the other side of a winning trade in NFDNxtty. Especially since my surplus holdings of Nxttycoin will carry me up with any well-timed buyers. Smiley

As I said above, NFDNxtty is redeemable on demand from the backing account. So if you want to have a bit of fun trading Nxttycoin through NFDNxtty, and then redeem it later for the real thing, I'll accommodate you. Smiley
