HODL what is hodl algorithm please..what coin.  thanks

HODLcoin.
But, the mined coins are unspendable for 1 year, so nobody's mining it unless really into the coin itself.
CPU only AFAIK.
Thx  pallas..

Hey guys,

New here so looking for some help. Hope you are all good.

Im mining with the proceeds going to the Open Medicine Foundation. I am bedbound and severely ill from the illness they are researching ME/CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome). I am a former natural bodybuilder and powerlifter, so this illnes can happen to anyone!

On a lighter note my love of computing has lead me to here. I mined doge for shits and giggles and have always built pc's, thouugh cant donthat anymkre obviously. However I am mining via nicehash and would like some advice on what to expect hashrate wise.

Currently using (dont laugh) a 750ti and getting 7000kh or 54MH (depending on drivers it changes what it displayes in i think, or coin choice).

However I am getting a 1060 tommorow and was wonderijg what to expect from it. I know its meant to be around 18-22MH but not sure if that is reflected in Nicehash.

Any pointers would be grand. And if you want to support or ask any questions about the research/mission, or even help out that would be amazing. Ive got a couple of people so far.

Anyway thanks a lot,

Ben

Could someone explain to me what each option of "dag load mode" does? Thx!

Code:
    -L, --dag-load-mode DAG generation mode.
parallel    - load DAG on all GPUs at the same time (default)
sequential  - load DAG on GPUs one after another. Use this when the miner crashes during DAG generation
single   - generate DAG on device n, then copy to other devices

Unfortunately, mining is not easy for tech-newbie. What other cloud mining services do is just take your money and "mine inside somewhere on own pools". If we were such service, we could offer simple slider too. We direct hashing power towards some pool and it is not possible to do that without knowing pool details such as host, port, username and password. Also, our offering of hashing power is bid style; that is the only way we can offer our miners (which is not hardware that we own) reasonable prices for them to stick around with us. Without them, we would have nothing to sell to buyers. And because of bidding style of buying, there are some more parameters needed, such as price of hashing power.

joined some time ago and wanted to rent some hash power but found a very complex interface/website . A newbie doesn't know what to do, what price/parameters to input .
99.99% of the other cloud mining websites (not questioning now if they fake mining or not) are so easy to use and with just a slider or an input box for power in 5 minutes you're ready to mine. It seems you are in the other 0.1% websites difficult to use for renting.
Even if the nicehash is just a 3rd party for mining power rental and can't display prices or sliders i would prefer the website owners to buy some asics and start their own renting  IF the prices are fair to reach the BEP (ROI) on mining ( for BTC or at least for ETH) despite to the increasing mining difficulty.
I don't know how to rent power for mining i guess i'll have to search a good tutorial. The video displayed on home page with cartoons is useless for a newbie wanting to rent some power.
I just want to rent some power for test , just some because i can't afford to risk to much.

CCMINER-CRYPTONIGHT WILL NOT COMPILE ON LINUX--

The adaptation of tsiv's CryptoNight miner does not compile on Ubuntu 14.04 Linux.  It errors out on not finding "curl.h", although I have the curl libraries properly installed.

The original source code from tsiv compiles with no problem, but will not mine on NiceHash due to the extranonce requirements.

Please fix this, or at least provide Linux binaries as you do with your other softwares.       --scryptr

Is there a way to NOT withdraw all the bitcoin in the wallet?

This feature in on our to-do list. Anyway, until this is not implemented you can make a simple workaround: make an order with the amount that you would like to keep on the account, but set a very low price for the order (order will not be activated). Then execute withdraw, and when withdraw is processed, cancel the order - the remaining funds will stay in your account. It's only a workaround, but should do the job. Stay tuned for new features updates on Twitter @ NiceHashMining https://twitter.com/NiceHashMining

Best regards,
NiceHash team.

Hey, everyone I am having an issue running the benchmark. It runs for the first 3 of the bechmark and before going into the 4th one and it crashes. Can it be because of the 470? I currently have i7 3770k, 32gb ram, 1 XFX RX470 4gb OC, 1 XFX R9 280x DD and running windows 10 64 bit. Or is there some new updated version i can use to stop the crashing. I have the 1.7.1.3.
