Things got pretty dead after phase 1

1 vidz gets you 1/2 of a atmos
you buy vidz at 260 sat, you get atmos for 130 sats

Nope. You got it completely reversed.

you are WRONG!

with trading fees im pretty spot on.

Burned (Round 2)   2619.99
Estimated Receive (Round 1)   0.00 atmos
Estimated Receive (Round 2)   0.00 atmos
Estimated Receive (from VIDZ)   1436.69 atmos

I'm not wrong, but you got me wrong. In your sentence above:
"1 vidz gets you 1/2 of a atmos" - that is correct.
"you buy vidz at 260 sat, you get atmos for 130 sats" - that is the opposite of correct. You buy VIDZ at 260 sat, you get atmos for 520 sat.

Anyway, IceFrag pretty much nailed it (just small cirrection: vidz weight in second round is 1.25x, not 1x).

That's right I didn't notice a small change in the main thread Smiley

After changes:
First Round they will have a weight of 1.5x
Second Round they will have a weight of 1.25x
Last week of the Second Round they will have a weight of 1.0x

Before changes:

First Round they will have a weight of 1.5x
Between First and Second Round they will have a weight of 1.25x
Second Round they will have a weight of 1.0x

"1 vidz gets you 1/2 of a atmos" - that is appoximately correct (and will become almost absolutely correct when 83M Vidz will get burned)
"you buy vidz at 260 sat, you get atmos for 130 sats" - that is the opposite of correct. You buy VIDZ at 260 sat, you get atmos for 520 sat.

I explains this on  the example of the first round:

Total BTC raised on First round - 222 BTC
30 milions atmos split to all BTC buyers - 30 milions / 222 BTC = 135,135 ATMOS for 1 BTC - 1 BTC / 135135 atmos = 740 sat for 1 ATMOS
VIDZ burned to swap - about 73 milions VIDZ
50 milions atmos split to VIDZ swap - 50 milions ATMOS / 73 milions VIDZ = 0,68 ATMOS for 1 VIDZ. So if you bought 1 milions VIDZ for 2,5 BTC (250 sat) you will get about 680000 ATMOS x 740 sat = ~5 BTC Smiley If u bought ATMOS for 2,5 BTC u will get 337837 ATMOS.

Of course this is just an example of the first round, much will depend on how much BTC is reached during the second round, the more - the output value will be higher  Smiley In addition, you need to pay attention to the multipliers when you SWAP VIDZ for ATMOS (1,5x in first round, 1x in second round) and the fact that the second round is 20 million to be divided among BTC buyers.

Also something you should know about IPFS and how its deduplication work. If you upload the same file and the file already exists (lets say the smurfs) The Hash (key) Will be exactly the same. You can test it by uploading the same movie twice you will get the same exact hash. Yes IPFS is the future it replaces TCP/IP which is Internet 1.0. IPFS is Internet 2.0

Don't get too excited, IPFS is based on TCP/IP, so it is not going to replace it. We have to bear with good old TCP/IP even when IPFS takes the world  Grin
As for the rest, that's correct, and thats good design.

@asphyxia: may I ask who are those uploaders, which moved from Vidz to Novus? Are they from this forum, or from elsewhere?

I'm not 100% sure, I think at least one of them was since I remember someone taking requests on the Pure Vidz thread but I never confirmed who they were. When I first reached out to them I looked for top 3 people with the most approved submissions and then their registered information and contacted them.

An IPFS hash is produced when a file is added to a node. This hash is produced based off the content in the file, think similar to how a sha256 hash may be produced for an array of bytes. Same file, same hash. I reached out to some of the uploaders that had helped support Pure Vidz in the past and let them know about Novus. It should come as no surprise that I have their contact information as I've reached out to them prior in the past when Pure Vidz migrated from Web Torrents to IPFS. It's not that the same index is being used, but rather some of the same files. It's easy enough to bootstrap a couple IPFS nodes together so they're easily made aware of each others files as well as make your node bootstrappable so other nodes can pass content through it.

Thanks.

Thanks for responding and addressing the hash. Thank you very much for your answer. Supporters hosting & moving with you is all I had hear Smiley .

I have to agree that IPFS is the future. Theres been talk of IPFS in other media circles (cough cough). Anyways your answer on the hash works for me :p Smiley

We'll announce the end date once our MVP is ready, finalized and the escrows have confirmed this. As of right now we are estimating it to end in early April.

Thanks.

I have many doubts related to accusations from Epyx (I mean they do not look convincing, but rather misleading to me, and technically incorrect conclusions are made). But I will leave asphyxia answer them (and yes - they should be answered, not just deleted).

What drew my attension is this statement from Epyx: "This continues to be deleted evey time I post in VidZ thread." I don't know what he implies saying that, but it rather looks he points to asphyxia a or PV dev deleting them. However that is technically imposible, as the account used to open the thread, has not logged in since early february. So only two versions here: either Epyx deleted those messages himself, and now tries to blame others (dirty play), or moderators do that (but in that case it is unclear why they leave all the other accusations from other attackers). Why FUD from Pickachu is not being deleted, but the same stuff from Epyx does? Something is fishy in those Epyx attacks. Would be nice if he comments on at least this my doubts.

Posts throughout the thread are deleted all the time. Who deletes them none of us know. Like you said PV does not show logged in or last active for a long long time. Posts have been deleted and thats all I know.

As for this being 100% of anything, its not. But the keys are the same. So the content and ipfs index is the same. I have simply pointed out that 1 day after my initial post the domain goes down..

Please keep in mind that I only am pointing out that the IPFS keys for the content is exact same for content on both sites. Except purevidz no longer works but novus does. A generic download of the purvidz.net can be downloaded at http://www.trollpay.com/purevidz.net.zip  in the home/watch folder is where the movie pages from purevidz.net are. you can open any of them look for IPFS_HASH = and  find the exact same movie at novus and you will see they use the exact same keys.

Again this just says there using same IPFS. you all decide whatever else it means.

I sent it to 1 person that I seen was active. As I did not want to become involved but give enough so that people could research what I had provided and come to there own conclusion. People run around speculating when gathering good/bad evidence is just as easy. I only found this out because I had indexed the entire purevidz movie collection and seen the exact same keys while comparing vidz scub to novus.

Until this dev explains how he is using the same index as a network he no longer has any connection or access to I just say be cautious. If dev answers with legit reasoning IPFS is the way to go for fast indexing and instant streaming of 0 day movies. A little scarey to do when you still have a small ipfs network (unless your indexing right on the public) But still if dev can give legit reasoning thats the only issue I see with any of it.

One additional consideration - Epyx, when your messages are deleted, you get an email. And those emails tell exactly wheter the mail was deleted by topicstarter, or moderators.
It's worth to check, but I guess you will find mods deleting that. The [main] moderator of altcoin section is 'mprep'. Maybe we should ask him why does he do that?

Again this just says there using same IPFS. you all decide whatever else it means.

As far as I remember, those files were not hosted by Vidz servers, but rather just indexed. The files themselves were supposed to be posted by random people, and be 'seeded' from their PC's (as well as from any downloader's PC if I get it right).

So what is so strange in Novus having the same IPFS hashes as Vidz had? I am genuinely interested, as according to my [rather superficial] understanding of IPFS, there is nothing wrong with this.

This is hard to answer. Nodes on the ipfs network can choose what content they want to include from other nodes in there network. So if I post smurfs but no one else on my ipfs network index's me I will still be the only one sharing smurfs. if that makes sense.

Torrent works the way you describe at the beginning. But as for ipfs if your network doesnt index it, it doesnt have it.

All this dev had to do was index vidz before he left so like I said above this is not anything.

This is not evidence of some scandal in my eyes.
As I said if he can get his network large enough and he stays around you all could be sitting on the 0-day movie streamer of the year!!

Unrelated:
Pickachu, keep your tongue under control. Maybe that is the way you're used to refer to people where you live, and they might appreciate that... But where I live, this could cause severe bloodbath. Lets keep at least some traces of respect here, otherwise this may end up bad way.
