In two months the source code will be released and anyone will be able to join the development.

That is awesome. You should maybe attempt to team-up with the devcoin community, as they are geared towards development and coding. As well as things such as 3D printing and production of space ships.

I had a bad experience cooperating with some ###coin developers.  A lot of time was spent on talking, the outcome did not satisfied me.  That is why now I am working alone.  The things are implemented much faster this way.
Well, but if you find other devs to yoin you (maybe some that actually are atleast Sr.members) you will most likly see a lot more people join....
I have actually send some BTC to the address, but I would have send more if you were a better knowen member or had other devs that ware knowen work with you...this way I did send some BTC, but only a amount that would not hurt tooo bad if you were a scammer/ ore the coin failed to lounch...
I realy do recomand that you take other devs on board.

My time is a very valuable resource.  Do you want me to spend it on taint analysis and then just send the coins back to a guy who violated the agreement?  I do not like this idea.  Though I can not just keep this coins without giving NXT, the taint analysis is not 100% reliable.  I will decide when all other issues are resolved.

So if you discover people have sent more than the cap, what happens to the outstanding BTC?

No idea yet.

Can't you just send it back to them? That is, if they sent 2 btc - give 1 back.

Is there something new about it? Or is it just like the I phone 4 vs the I phone 5? (It's longer and thinner, even though Steve Jobbs said that the Iphone should never ever get longer. So not really the "next generation" of I phone. Smiley Jw

Next week we will test a prototype of a decentralized stock exchange built on top of Nxt.  The very first decentralized exchange as far as I know.

Then we will test the very first decentralized app store.  Then decentralized voting system.  You can extend this list, just add "decentralized" and "built on top of Nxt" to any thing that comes to your mind.

Future is already here.

Hi BCNext, I want to participate in NXT by sending an amount of BTC. I do not understand how to attach the message in the 2th step. Can I send you the BTC using the MultiBit wallet client, and enter the message in the "Label" field?

I use MultiBit instead of qt, because my HDD is almost full.

Thanks in advance

MultiBit will not work.  There was a nice picture https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.3370401

Reality is stranger than fiction

So, if you want to get coins do the following:
1.  Choose a secret phrase
2.  Calculate SHA256 hash of this phrase (an online calculator can be used)
3.  Calculate SHA256 hash of the hash you got on the previous step
4.  Send any amount to 1BCN1ugdKdWd9pQ8Am9hMhtHZfmbXzxE8a, don’t forget to attach a message with the hash you got on the 3rd step. (The amount is capped at 1 BTC!)

That’s it.  When Nxt is launched you will get part of new coins and your stake will be proportional to the amount you sent.

Ah, this is not critical.  I think I should omit all non-critical exceptions.  I put it into todo list.

Let me know if you see anything that contains "Exception".
Just got this...

[2013-10-29 12:47:54.576] java.nio.channels.ClosedChannelException

Let me know if you see anything that contains "Exception".  NullPointerException is the worst possible bug.

We already found BufferUnderflowException bug which happens because one of the peers runs older software.  I will add code to disconnect and backllist such nodes.

You shouldn't unpack the zip file.  Download Java Runtime Environment (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre7-downloads-1880261.html) and type "java -cp Nxt.zip Nxt".

Ok, so I made a .bat file with folowing comand: " C:\Users\Pascal\Desktop
java -cp Nxt.zip Nxt"

Now it dose open something in the cmd...now it shows my a bit of output in the cmd (inkluding somthing with a genisses block) but always has a  ..."" behind it
Is that how it should be, shouldn´t it start somthing with a GUI?

P.s. I alrady have java runtime installed
