Most traders were baffled after Ardor hit exchanges, hoping price of NXT 1.0 will recover in the coming days following the Ardor giveaway craze.

That decision is up to you. There's no right or wrong decision a priori.

where my ardor in my wallet.mynxt.info, before fork(or whatever it name) i look some ardor in my wallet, but when i login now the ardor is zero??

This might explain it. It says you have to add the Asset Exchange basic plugin to see how many ARDR you have within the mynxt.info wallet. If you check on the block explorer - https://mynxt.info  you should see your ARDR in your account there. You have to add the Asset Exchange Pro plugin (or the full Nxt Client plugin) to sell them.

One thing to note, though, is that in the MyNxt Online Wallet you need to add the Asset Exchange basic plugin in order to monitor the assets you have in your account, and the Asset Exchange Pro plugin (or the full Nxt Client plugin) in order to do transactions with them. But even if you have a bare-bones MyNxt wallet with no plugins, and you cannot see in the online wallet all the contents inside of your Nxt account, the assets your account receives (such as ARDR) are in that account regardless. You can always search for the Nxt account ID in the MyNxt block explorer - https://mynxt.info - to check all its contents.

After Ardor has been released, how will be the future development of Nxt itself. Will it stopped and all the resources will shift to Ardor or is there a further development?

Nxt will still continue to life. It's like a living organism. It can only be killed when all the nodes stop supporting it. The developers will update/support Nxt for one year or so. Maybe new devs continue Nxt, nobody knows. It's there and very usable.

Is there a trustworthy public NXT node?

@freshman777

The SHA-256 .exe flavour of NRS 1.10.3 is happily syncing away on my computer. The wallet and server blue NXT icons are sitting on my desktop. You're a gem!   Cool

... The Hash: SHA512 is the algo of the PGP message JeanLuc uses to sign releases, it's not related to the checksum of the file you download.

Are you sure about SHA-512? That was the one I downloaded last time and it seemed to work perfectly until after the fork. Maybe that could have been the problem.

I'm getting used to deleting everything, so I'll download the SHA-256 .exe file and install as you suggest. Thanks once again!  Wink

Thanks freshman777. You're one of the few dependable people here. I couldn't download any further than block 10000012 no matter what I tried and I couldn't get to the red alert that enables an upgrade.

I uninstalled and deleted everything. Then I downloaded the SHA512 flavour of 1.10.3 for my 64-bit machine. After unzipping to my desktop all that popped out was a NXT folder with lots of files inside. The installer didn't pop out.

I clicked on the nxt Executable Jar File inside the folder and nothing happened. The same goes for the nxt application and other executables. I copied the NXT Wallet Internet shortcut onto the desktop, clicked on it, and the 1.10.3 wallet opened up and started the blockchain download. It also recognised my NXT balances.

I don't think that the wallet shortcut solution is what is supposed to happen. I don't have the two NXT blue icons I had before for the NXT wallet and the NXT desktop server - just the single Firefox shortcut. But thanks for throwing me a lifeline. Appreciated!

I don't use the Windows version of the wallet so I can't comment on the icons it creates.
Generally Windows users should download the .exe link.

The Hash: SHA512 is the algo of the PGP message JeanLuc uses to sign releases, it's not related to the checksum of the file you download.
The checksum is in sha256 strings for .zip and .sh

For .exe there is no checksum, there is a different verification procedure as stated in "The exe, dmg, and sh packages must have a digital signature by "Stichting NXT"." which I haven't used, I don't run Windows.

TL;DR:
download the .exe file if you're a Windows user. Don't be afraid to uninstall/delete everything and start from scratch. There is no wallet.dat file with keys to lose, Nxt is a brain wallet. Uninstall/install as many times as you need to, as long as you remember the passphrase your coins are safe.

For all those needing to upgrade, I downloaded 1.10.3 from:
https://nxtforum.org/nrs-releases/nrs-v1-10-3/

... but I'm still having problems as indicated above. 1.10.2 doesn't recognise the new 1.10.3 client and says it cannot install any upgrade until after the blockchain is fully downloaded. That's not happening because the blockchain is still stuck on block 10000012.

What am I doing wrong?!!! Do I have to download the entire blockchain again? How do I do that? Do I have to delete everything - all the downloaded previous client files and delete the NXT folder containing the database etc. and start all over again with 1.10.3?

You don't have to delete the old files, but if upgrading doesn't work for you - delete them, delete everything related to Nxt and install 1.10.3 from scratch. You'll be able to use it instantly in the Roaming Client mode while blockchain downloads in the background.

When you open the wallet, it will show an alert in the upper right corner just click this and then choose to download the new 1.10.3 NXT wallet. This also solved the issue for me as well.

i cannot download 1.10.3 from nxt.org

I saw the last posts advising to download the 1.10.3 client which was only just put up for download a few hours ago. They said they had done it and everything is fine. However, when I've unzipped 1.10.3 and tried to update by clicking on the NRS version number at the top right hand side of my wallet and clicking on NRS update, it tells me that "the blockchain is still loading, check again after it's up to date."

So I am back to Square One with a wallet that doesn't seem to update beyond Block 10000012.
My wallet shows no alert message and it is still showing NRS version 1.10.2 in green, not red, so it doesn't look like I can upgrade just yet.

Please advise.

BLOCKCHAIN ALERT

My Desktop NXT 1.10.2 wallet does not seem to be downloading the Blockchain. The number of blocks left to download is going up and is now showing 2412. Other people seem to be having the same problem.

Just now the number of blocks left to download dropped down to the 1500s, but then instantly went back up to 2415 where it's staying and increasing ... now on 2420.

THE BLOCKCHAIN HEIGHT SEEMS TO BE STUCK AT 1000012

Anyone know what's going on?

I had a problem not like yours , so i just re-synced the entire blockchain , and then last night updated the client up to version 1.10.3 and everything seems to be running nicely , now
