Finally a good OFW coin for our modern day heroes. Millions of OFW's, millions of possibillities for this coin. I am just wondering how the money remittance portion can be pulled off. I am thinking, OFW salary via local bank atm account in their country how to convert the remittance money into OFW money, then send it via wallet then receiver would convert it to peso then liqudate it through what? Like a coins.ph type of website or app?

yes dev   Smiley
what is this coin added on yobit ??

it was nver added to yobit even though I paid the .1 btc fee - they stole the money

but I will try again - I'll see if I can make contact with the person from Yobit first who is on the forum before sending BTC

Dead project. No word from dev whatsoever, price dropping at 3 sats. Someone needs to take the project up again and promote it to be used.

It's a new entry, and have a very solid goal. Doesen't matter the price, is a "supported resources" for OFW that work outside the country, the price have to be stable  just for be able to transfer quite good amount of money without big fee and in very few minuts. Think in long term Wink

Ya it will be good some new, just wait  Cool

Yes but if the project behind the coin is not going forward, the coin will forever stay 30-50 sats.

Dev, how are you going to peg OFW's value to the Philippines Peso? Will it be similar to Tether approach which is backed by actual fiat currency assets?
thanks
That is the goal but the markets will ultimately decide its value once it hits them.
This coin is not backed by fiat currency assets as there was not ICO therefore no cash asked for or held prior to release.
It is backed by the large market it is targeting and the future potential use in the remittance industry, but as described in the white paper that is part of the roadmap and is not guaranteed.

So what happens if that part of the plan falls over?

Game over?

how to add peers (now only one peer is connected)? command in the terminal is not detected.

Under linux, you can add a node simply using addnode command
addnode IP:PORT add

You can create a "update.sh" file using these few lines

#!/bin/sh
./OFWcoind  addnode  91.134.243.121:55232 add
./OFWcoind  addnode  72.24.9.198:52778 add
./OFWcoind  addnode  158.69.48.52:33030 add

(don't know if work, is my "getpeerinfo" outpout
Place it in daemon folder (if you compiled by yourseld is under OFWcoin-master/src/) and run it by
chmod +x start.sh (executable permission)
sh start.sh

It will be very usefull add these line at your /home/<$USERS>/.OFWcoin/OFWcoin.conf
