Minimal precautions to be taken:
0. use a VPN - while most free VPN solutions are limited either in speed/reliability, anonymity and/or security, in case of a scam (or other illegitimate action from the site operators) your private details will be more protected;
1. use a "throw away" e-mail account for registration, using an alias instead of your real name (be sure to have control of that said e-mail address);
2. DO NOT use your main bank account(s) or primary crypto-currency wallet(s) - while opening a fiat account with a bank requires quite a lot of personal data (and some fees), having a separate "trading" account with only the limited necessary funds for trading makes it harder for a malicious operator to "burn" you (as for the crypto-wallets: create a virtual machine and install new wallets there, then add coins using as many precautions you can think of);
3. DO NOT keep funds that you can't afford to lose in the exchange and or fiat account(s) related to it - history is a great learning resource ;
4. keep in mind that if something looks too good to be true, it probably is...
Having reminded potential users of this (new) exchange about common sense, let me ramble about some findings of other forum user:
* hero user cryptodevil posts: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.16226855
- at the time of this writing, entering "crypto-trade.net" in the address bar of my Firefox browser redirects me to a https page, but on "default configured" Chromium (NOT Chrome) it stays on the insecure http... unless I enter "https://" before the name... beware of local browser configurations!
- the security (SSL) certificate belongs to CloudFlare, it is valid for about 6 months and is issued only for certifying server and client, apart from standard cloudflare info about the server, nothing relates only to the site itself or to the owner of the site (it was issued for multiple DNS names) - compare that to bitcointalk's certificate ;

- "Email:[email protected]" well, now I feel confident
- subsequent replies are decent, but not convincing.
