So just out of curiosity cause I'm new to the Orbit community but what does Orbitcoin offer besides the low coin supply and POW/POS phase that is equal? Is there any games or upcoming ideas brainstorming for Orbitcoin in the future? Cheers

We supported Altcoin Dice, but it went offline without notice. There was another gambling site which tirned out a scam. We are ready for cooperation still. If you or anyone else are aware of any decent altcoin gambling sites, contact them asking to add support for ORB and I'll help as much as I can.

Looks like DirectBet is running a poll here (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/directbet-live-sportsbook-racebook-now-accepting-ether-393147) to add new coins to their system.

Btw, I don't gamble so not sure whether this site is good or not.

ghostlander...today my system got crashed and after reboot orbit wallet doesn't load and it fails with error "Error loading block index. see debug.log for more details". There are bunch of lines in error.log and i am pasting the lines from the start for your reference.

It seems the block index or UTXO data base has got corrupted in this system crash. You can try to reindex, but the easiest solution is to use a back-up block chain snapshot and continue. Keep your wallet.dat of course. Journalling in NTFS of Windows doesn't seem to work as good as in Ext4 of Linux. I hope you don't use FAT32 for this purpose.

I have re-downloaded blockchain and everything works fine...will keep a backup of blackchain from now onwards...

No surrender, no retreat, no regret.
My NeoScrypt OpenCL kernel gets profiled properly with CodeXL and delivers a 10% performance improvement at the very least over the previous version completed in August. I receive 680KH/s for HD7990 downvolted and downclocked to 850MHz core / 1250MHz memory, -I 16 -g 1 -w 128, fglrx-14.200 (Catalyst 14.6 beta). A reference R9 280X with Hynix memory should yield over 400KH/s easily. The one I have with Elpida memory produces 400KH/s at 1050/1600.

Older non-GCN cards do much better with it: HD6970 = 120KH/s, HD5870 = 100KH/s. Just checked, the kernel bundled with the current SGminer does 15KH/s for HD6970 and 20KH/s for HD5870. Oh well.

Beta testers are welcome for a small donation. After all, I need to buy all these cards for development needs.

So the POS reward for Orbit is 1 ORB per POS block? That's the deal? I just want to make sure that I read the OP correctly before I download the wallet and start staking some of these puppies Wink

Yes. You need at least 20 coins to start staking.

Cool that's sweet Smiley So does the 20 coins have to be a single deposit or can I deposit them 1 ORB at a time? I just ask this cause I am the type of person who likes to divide my coins into a bunch of smaller piles for POS coins that offer a static reward so that my stake weight stays strong as I receive rewards Smiley Thanks again

Up to 10 smaller inputs may be combined while staking, but their total shouldn't be less than 20 ORB. However people use larger chunks these days due to high difficulty.

Awesome thanks so much for all the help mate Smiley I really appreciate when someone gives me nice straight answers when I'm inquiring about a coin lol Cheers
