You can be sure that this coin will skyrocket in the following weeks/months, as the updates keep getting better and better:

- It has an extremely low marketcap for coin of such value - only 40 million USD and the price is currently around 0.60 USD per coin (down from the ATH at around 5 USD)
- The Testnet A is up and running from January 31st, but has been open only for selected community members. Tonight they opened the testnet for more people on their telegram, everybody was able to download files uploaded on the tangle. It worked like a charm!
- The speed of upload on the sample file video was very slow, this was due to running only one node at that time. Speed has now improved drastically and will continue in the future.
- Price will be pegged to storage, not just based on speculation. The initial peg will be minimum 64GB, but the main developer is mentioning even 512GB for one PRL! Compare this with competition who offers storage (Amazon, Dropbox, Google) and calculate where could the price be in this case. There are calculations circulating already.
- The team has recently expanded very much, they hired a lot of new developers, now to about 20 people in total. One is an ex-Microsoft developer who just started working for them.
- In the following days they will announce a new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). He is already hired, finishing up the transition. The marketing campaign is said to be aggresive!
- Testnet B (for website revenue) will be up and running at the end of this month/beginning of March. Mainnet and final product will be released in April.
- Datadash and Altcoinbuzz will do videos about the project which will drive the price up for sure.

It will most likely be listed on BINANCE in the following weeks. The team can't disclose any information, but they are actively working on hitting a new exchange. The main dev commented: "We will either go big or go home!" I am certain it will be big, as their wallet has shown that a large number of coins have been sold in the last days for the development of the project.

The main developer and head of the project Bruno is simply a genius and a visionary, completely dedicated to the project. He is active on telegram as is the rest of the team in offering information to the community.

They are two entirely different project. Siacoin scope is for decentralized storage only. And SiaCoin has been around here for years so technically their platform is more mature than the others.

To all the skeptics ... Explain to me if the Siacoin marketcap reached 3.4 B $ on January 7, why the RPL marketcap after alpha network realesed can not do the same, given that PRL is unique in the platforms on which it is built? This is ideal of course, but I personally think that 1B $ market cap is not such an unachievable goal.

Crypto markets and logic doesn't go together in the same sentence. Person would expect the price of all cryptos should rise with positive news, but it's not happening. That just proves that there's still many newbies in crypto trading... But it's new technology. I believe Oyster is one of the best projects I have heard of and that's why I just purchased more PRL now while the price is low. I'm sure it will rise again. Current market cap is less than $40.000.000! Imagine what would be the price if Oyster becomes top 10 currency by market cap

The only certain thing that can be said about the price is that it isn't certain what the price will be.

The market does what the market does. The price wont go to 8 dollars because everybody writes that it should be 8 dollars.

For all we know the price could evolve to 50 dollars within weeks... Or not.

Me too expected a big price-shift with all the positivie news surrounding Oyster but since logic doesn't always apply within crypto (or maybe slowly logic is coming...?), I'll be in patience of further updates by Bruno & his expanded team.

$8 is looking pretty hard target for short time but if someone have goal to keep hodl this than it will be good choice. I think so there is good chance to make good profit in next few months because the progress is looking amazing.

For a working something with an actual use that does not seem completely unrealistic to me.  The timeframe thats something else.

None can answer the magic, crypto brings for every price increase. We're in a very volatile market. Even the other people who dump their coins during Chinese Bitcoin Ban starting on January last year fall from 750, rallied to $1500 ATH since 2013. Then rallied to 19k.

CryptoNick could be in jail at that time LOL.
