My imp question is that BAT coin the major rival in this space? and why is PRL more promising than BAT?

PRL storage not only allows people to monetize through treasure hunt algorithm, but it is also the #1 most anonymous and decentralized storage system out there.

You can't get more decentralized than IOTA (especially as Tangle grows), and storing files in transactions is literally the most anonymous thing you can do.

At current PRL prices, the peg of 64 GB/PRL is cheaper than BAT too (since a PRL right now is trading very low).

I think BAT is a competitor, but who cares? Most coins have like 20 competitors, but that doesn't stop them from somehow staying relevant price-wise.
So what is that BAT is their competitor? Can not anyone have competition? The main thing is that PRL does its work as it should, and this is what they get

Uhm, which tokens will be burnt? Sorry for the maybe idiot question, but I never had tokens whose supply would have been burnt.

https://medium.com/oysterprotocol/oyster-pearl-team-update-4-f2cc22eca1a7

10 million tokens will be burnt from dev funds and total supply will get reduced to 98.5 million. For details you can read the update dev explained everything into this blog.

There is a large dev fund that will have 10 million PRLs destroyed with a burn function.

Your PRL will not be impacted, of course.

This will be a good thing, since dev supply is gradually released - there is less to release now.

A small PRL-update on how pricing should work in the (near) future for PRL:

https://medium.com/oysterprotocol/how-prl-pricing-will-work-in-the-future-d67c4f231386

They say that minimum 64 GB of data storage will cost 1 PRL. Based on that information and the price of Google cloud storage, some guy on the Telegram channel calculated that the price should be $15. That would be really nice  Grin

Keep in mind that 64 GB is the absolute minimum, the plausible size is 512 GB in Brunos opinion.

So.. basically 1 $ for Oyster is a joke. Also Oyster seems to be one of those coins which can become independent from the price movements of bitcoin which means if bitcoin drops Oyster is uneffected like Teather and stays stable.
Its price has potential to go up to around 100$+ per coin based on the value of storage it provides.
Including the calculation that other services like Google, Amazon, etc. offer 64 GB for ~15 $, imagine Oyster providing 512 GB for 1 Coin. This would give the coin a value of 140 $ each. + the dezentralized storage is much more save than the cloud storage from services like Google.

Its not only a game changer to earn money without adds, its also a game changer in terms of data storage & it could be the first coin which is completely independent from Bitcoins price action without regulation (like Teather were new coins are printed etc.)

If Oyster works, this project will be a top 10 coin contender for sure.
~66 Million is the market cap for Oyster @ ~1 $, 6,6 Billion would be the market cap for a price per coin @ 100 $ which would be at place 11-12.
I am quite surprised that not everyone has seen its potential yet. Oyster being outside of the top 200 is like bitcoin being outside of the top 10.

Finally somebody make great analyze of the current situation for PRL token.
Also, remember that if everything will be okay tomorrow you're not only investing in a "hyped" project but in the project with fundamentals.

I agree, this is finally a credible analysis. It doesn't matter if it will make it to the upper range of his calculations, what's important is to get a grasp of the order of dimension the project could reach.

Revolutionising Marketing and Loyalty
Really appreciate how Bruno is handling the project. He has a strong forward-looking strategy, not being short-term profit focused like many projects. Soon, we will see great marketing efforts as he planned to begin promotion after having realized PRL's proof-of-concept. Again, great long-term strategy.

The best strategy in crypto is simple. When your coins are green, go on the chan, slack, and talk about it, everyone is happy. WHen is red, shut down your computer, and go outside,

With this opinion makes me eager to go to kukoin and immediately buy PRL, I am sure that PRL is a profitable project. Thank you for your answers.

$5 in April. That's when the main-net is coming out! Join Telegram too. It's very informative.

And I added you to my ignorelist.

We added Oyster to the Cheddur app (https://www.cheddur.com)! This will allow new users to learn about Oyster and join the community. Cheddur allows you to link wallets, exchanges, and other services that support PRL so that new users can easily get started. You can also review the project and post your PRL addresses on your profile to receive tips/payments/donations in PRL from other users Smiley

Can others from the community please review the profile for quality and help add supported services? The more active the Oyster profile is (via user reviews and addresses), the higher it ranks in search results and the more likely newcomers are to discover the Oyster project!

-Bigger dev team
-Bruno is still there and trying to answer for some FUD statements
-working A version of testnet live
-many GitHub updates
-support from IOTA news

Is this rational?

I like the no add idea far more than the storage part, but either way the crypto blood bath needs to cool down before any ALT moons. I can't see why this project shouldn't be in top 20 of CMC
