Ecosystem for Fundraising DAOs — ICOs 2.0
This is an exciting project with tremendous upside potential. Oyster is also a 2 in 1 project as it looks like.

1. New idea of generating alternative income streams for websites by adding just 1 line of code

2. Prodiving a decentralized and anonymous way of storing and looking for media content. Oyster allows website visitors to contribute a portion of their GPU and CPU power to enable the users’ files to be stored on an anonymous ledger

And they tapped into something that is a pain for most website owners, most visitors have ad blocks enabled.

Hail Eris!
Awesome project!!

The devs should not spend too much time on the ICO and focus on the protocol. Success will come as soon as Oyster has some customers.

Not always.  ICOs go for weeks but the difference in what they can raise results in months or years difference in development funding not to mention marketing capabilities.

Developers must understand that there are many things beyond a great development team and product which lead to the success or failure of an idea.

Hail Eris!
Just over a week to go.  Anything planned for this last week of the ICO developers?

I see we are at around 150 Ethereum raised total! Once through the development phase and the coin is released it should be easy to fund continued development through reserved coins as they will have value.  Looking forward to seeing how things unfold.

will unsold tokens be burned? 30 million dollar valuation is a bit too much for me
Tokens are dynamically minted as the contract receives ETH. Therefore the supply scales with demand. Maximum possible total token supply is 500 million.

30 million is nothing for what Oyster does, it competes with BAT, Siacoin, Storj, Filecoin, and EOS/dapps all at the same time.
bruno does the signature icon project complete?

According to Sylon, the bounty campaign manager, the bounties ended Nov 2.  The ICO will still continue and if you like the idea behind the coin we would all appreciate your continued support.  There are a lot of bad ideas out there - the good ones need more attention.

I wouldn't be opposed to a second round of fundraising once they establish more of a marketing presence and pass some critical development milestones.

I am concerned that the reserved dev funds greatly eclipse the number of tokens sold.  It seems they were expecting a bigger turnout when they set up dev fund allocations and the bounties.

The devs seem genuine in their pursuit of this project but this might concern a number of potential investors and users.

Will there be a possibility of a second crowdsale once the beta is ready and some testing occurs?

Otherwise will there be a reallocation of dev funds and coin burning?
The token devfund is for freelance developers. The main core team gets paid in both ETH and PRL. The 15% devfund is for bounties on completing protocol functions etc.

Oh awesome Bruno.  Thanks for the quick response.  Do you know when we might start seeing these bounties for protocol functions?  Sia is doing something like this which has led to rapid integration with third party storage services.  I might even be interested in looking at at couple as a full stack developer looking for side projects.
When this ICO/marketing phase is finally over, which is currently consuming all of my time.

I know campaign end yesterday Nov 2, is it extended?
the sale was extended until 14 November. Scroll down the main page of website to see this information.

So are we going to post again until coming Nov 14 for the signature campaign??

It appears the bounty campaigns are over though the ICO continues.  I hope people keep posting as I don't think people either know about it or understand the protocol because it has several moving parts.  It is a great project though with a lot of potential.
