Hail Eris!
Just watched the video on your website, this looks really promising and groundbreaking. Also cool that IOTA is being used for this. Wish this project the best of luck!

Its great because we are not just monetizing websites but supporting the IOTA tangle while doing so.  One issue with the tangle, and one of the things which makes it so cheap as decentralized storage, is that it doesn't really incentivize supporting proof of work and data retention operations.  Applications like this should be a huge boost.

Hail Eris!
it seems now is the last day for the followers of bounty of the project because I see it in the announcement in the trade bounty in pengang ole dev syilon does that mean ico of the project is over

??  Can you either rephrase this or post a link?   I know syilon is a dev but 'pengang ole dev syilon' makes no sense to me.  The ICO is still going and I don't see anything indicating it won't.

Anyways happy Thursday everyone!  Whether in a campaign or not please spread the word inside and outside of bitcointalk as we want to see this coin succeed.  Technology like this will eventually take off and can change everything.

Hail Eris!
This is an excellent project, it is a very strange fact that it is received in such a cold way from the investors. Perhap they will need more time to understand it.

Well, this could be a profitable investment for investors especially when this gets listed to exchanges but i am hoping this would get funded more.

Yes it is a good risk and very undervalued since it is well into development.  The codebase is based on an old project called FrozenJar which the lead developer created.  It is a lot of gnarly php and no fun to look at but rather complex.

Since then it has radically changed not only its codebase but a switch to using IOTA as a decentralized storage solution.

IOTA is really really cheap storage but needs nodes to do proof of work for basically free which is one of its challenges. By monetizing proof of work and data retention operations through an pearl generating ethereum contract there is an incentive now to support IOTA.  If this works it can form a symbiotic relationship between Oyster and IOTA.

IOTA technology gets a lot of hot and cold shoulders because it is so experimental.  Along with this Oyster has a relatively small marketing presence compared with some of the other ICOs and was also announced relatively close to the ICO even though the technology has been in development under other names for awhile.   Just keep spreading the word and finding ways of getting the idea across to trigger organic growth.  It is an interesting idea.

Did the airdrop people receive clear information about the airdrop date and how it will work? Didn't they RTFM or didn't they get the information they need?

In telegram I see that you are very close to conclude a large marketing agreement. Any additional info regarding this?

These are the main reasons why I have invested in the purchase of PRL tokens to support the Oyster project:

As a journalist and editor of a website I understand the difficulty of harmonizing the financing needs of a media through advertising with the desire of readers to eliminate intrusive and increasingly aggressive advertising. The proliferation of adblockers shows what the demands of the readers are. But without a sustainable source of income, the information will suffer a reduction in quality. The Oyster Protocol can unlocks this confrontation between advertisers and ad blockers, providing an alternative solution. So, the Oyster Protocol allows websites to generate traffic revenue as visitors perform Proof of Work for a data decentralized storage ledger.

In addition, the Oyster Protocol uses tangle technology as a decentralized mechanism to host the data. This technology that is being developed by IOTA will lead the future of online transactions.

Only 1 ether raised? I can't believe my eyes, lol.   Shocked

We are at 41.457 Ether worth 12,665$.  A lot of people wait for a while unless the coin offers really good early invest bonuses which Oyster don't.  We got a little surge in the beginning followed by the current trickle and depending on marketing/exposure and interest may increase a little or surge in the end.  We have two weeks to go.  I would like to see a little more dev presence online via more blog posts (its been a couple weeks) and social network interaction given that the ICO is a very important phase of a project's lifecycle.

Are you a member of the Oyster Team? What is the softcap for the ICO? It's a very slow start and Im wondering what happens to Oyster if not enough money is raised
1) More has been raised via side sales. The overall amount is slow compared to hyped up ICOs, mostly because we focus on substance of the project and not photoshoots in our whitepaper like chronologic.
2) He's not a part of the core team, he just joined the bounty campaign. However in that sense anyone can become a part of Oyster.
3) There is no numerical soft cap. This is because all the money has already been spent (and will be spent) on marketing. A worst case scenario for Oyster is that the first 3 stages of development could be programmed with 1-2 people instead of 3-5 full time employees, so one way or another the network will go live which will cause the price of PRL to calibrate to the price of storage (1 PRL = 1 GB/ 1 YR).
4) We have lots of promotional deals lined up that are yet to be executed, and I am currently working on getting Oyster listed on a major well known exchange and several new Chinese based ones. News about this coming soon. There is usually still air and silence before the stampede.

Yes, just an investor and part time bounty hunter who gets a little too excited about things.  I won't join a campaign unless I like the idea and there is real development backing it though.

Mystic90, You can get the ICO totals by downloading the spreadsheet from etherscan and totalling the columns.

I am glad the devs are willing to stick through the worse case scenario to get the project on its feet.  Getting listed on exchanges would be great.
