Farewell o_e_l_e_o
I got a screenshot from a Paxful user who owe me money showing a payment/withdrawal to my wallet. I am waiting for two days for this payment which is waiting in queue. It is 99% sure that the screenshot is fake.
Did you receive that payment?

On Paxful, you have two options to send your coins to another user.
  • Sending it to their receiving address
  • Sending it by Paxful user.

Send Bitcoin and Tether With Ease Using Paxful Usernames. This feature was launched two years ago.

The sender pretends email verification of this payment is still required and he is in trouble with that (while the screenshot says "in queue" and not "waiting for email verification").
I did not witness too long Withdrawal approval and at the time you wrote your post, it is already two days that are long and strange.

How to Contact Support. In case you need to contact support, you can create your support ticket.

I did use Paxful but that was a very long time ago, so if my memory serves me right:

1. It shouldn't take that long to process (unless they have some technical issues) and then it depends on the bitcoin network.
2. Not as far as I can remember. I believe it's "pending" and not "waiting".
3. Yes, you can activate 2FA using both email and Google authenticator[1].

If you want confirmation from the support, you should probably reach out to them by email. OP hasn't been active for a very long time.

So I want to ask Paxful users/support:
1) How long withdrawals usually take?
2) Is there a "waiting in queue" status?
3) Is there a email verification for withdrawals?

Thank you! This enables me to have evidence for legal action.

Newbie has to read this. Too many SCAMMERS on Paxful, offering THE VERY BEST RATE for your btc, i.e market +10% or even much higher. They will force you to release bitcoin first, then they never pay. Even if they pay through PayPal, your PP account will got chargebacks from them. AVOID Paxful and Localbitcoins. They're all SCAMMERS.

You always have to do your due dillegence when trading on any exchange. Even if you are protected by escrow in paxful in this case. Just because paxful offers escrow doesn't mean that nobody will try to scam you on there.

You should never release your funds before you actually receive payment, and you should avoid dealing with any reversible methods on paxful. And if someone is offering 10% over the spot price for bitcoin, then it's going to be a scam for sure.

No point blaming paxful/localbitcoins, if you see a scammer report it to them. That's all you can do. They're not the ones scamming you.

I have a suggestion regarding cancelling trades. The seller can't do anything and must wait hours sometimes until its canceled by the system even If the buyer is AFK. What would be nice is to add the ability to cancel trades If the buyer don't send any messages. That way, you know for sure that he didn't send funds or gift card code or whatever.

It seems the PR or admin of the site is no longer interested in this thread and it's largely due to the increase in their client base which have ranked them as the third largest peer to peer exchange platform in the world while the growing is still there with expansion to other countries of the world.

The concern I actually have is concerning the high transaction fee which is fixed at 0.0008btc irrespective of the amount being sent and regarded as the miners fee, the question is, are the miners that static that they only focus on one fee alone at all times. This should really be looked at.

I added Paxful to the Cheddur app (https://www.cheddur.com/) via community request! This will allow more people to learn about Paxful and get started. We’ve also linked all of the coins, countries, and apps that Paxful supports / can be legally used in, this way new users can discover Paxful based on the coins they own, where they live, or the devices they use.

If you've used Paxful, don't forget to leave a review! The more popular the service is (via ratings), the higher it will appear in search results and the more likely new users will find it! Smiley

I sent you an email to [email protected] but I still didn't receive any replies while you claim to answer within 24 hours. I contacted you regarding a serial scammer/carder that is selling in your site: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.22070173 (I and other users posted a lot of proof) so I suggest banning him before everyone leaves your platform, the positive trust clearly means nothing because the codes works when you put them but then get chargebacked.

This site is absolutely fantastic if you basically want to buy cheap gift cards.

Yesterday, I bought a $50 Google Play gift card for $28 worth of BTC! First transaction went really smooth, and there's a button in the bottom left which allows you to live chat with an admin whilst the trade is taking place should anything go wrong, which I used just to test the features of the site for my first trade.

Just make sure your code works before releasing your Bitcoin.

Going to try getting my hands on some pretty much half price Amazon gift codes today.

The features and the trading method of this site is very familiar as it's similar to LocalBitcoins, however this is more unregulated than LBTC (and I don't necessarily mean that in a negative way). LBTC is more suited for trading BTC for direct bank deposits (my usual go-to for buying Bitcoin quickly) with very well known traders. Whereas this site is for if you want to do a more specific trade (i.e. my case of Google Play card, and Amazon card) at bargain price.

I hope more people try it out, the more people using it the better. Just keep your wits about you, the help button guy (probably the admin?) did mention there's "quite a lot of scammers". But just use your judgement, there's a feedback system etc.

I like Paxful so far, I'm seller there and I get 5x more sales than on localbitcoins. I think Paxful secured all the traffic from Backpage and desperate bitcoin buyers from there

We just published an article detailing the features that go into building a peer to peer marketplace.

https://blog.paxful.com/technical-challenges-to-build-bitcoin-software/

We really spilled our guts in this one and the post's gotten thousands of hits and been republished on medium.

6. Please add Transaction date in the list of Closed/Successful transactions - https://paxful.com/account/trades

Regarding Location - I think Country is enough, there should be some public privacy for people as well.

and Thanks! Happy to see someone actually cares  Cool

We care very much and want to see the entire eco system grow. Peer to peer trading is the best way to get bitcoin into the hands of the people all while rewarding the people who are doing the heavy lifting. It is a great grass roots effort and we should all work towards thus. We have a registered c corp but still consider ourselves part of a grass roots movement.

Few more things:

1. When transaction was disputed it currently shows both as Successful and as Dispute. Should only appear under Dispute section
2. Would be good to see Trade/Transaction ID in all tables where you show list of my open or closed trades (In Dashboard, in Trade List).
3. Would be great to have a possibility to Export all the Successful Trades into CSV, since we need to make financial reports at end of each month
4. Also in the list of Successful trades i'd like to see total BTC Amount that was taken from my wallet (BTC_Sent+BTC_fee), also needed for reporting.
5. User Location, for some reason, for all users it shows that IP Location is Lichtenstein
Thanks for feedback! We are now working on reporting module and will do all these improvements!
As for IP it's because right now IP comes from Cloudflare CDN. We are working on updating our IP6 database resolving. Once it's done we will show correct location.
Would be it better if we showed partner location up to precision of his city? Or just country is enough?

Estimation for these updates is end of the next week.

Guys, you are competing to LocalBitCoins? some of things are similar, many nice features missing still.

Paxful is a part of the peer to peer bitcoin trading movement yes.

There is natural overlap between us and other escrow services. Our focus is on first time buyers and whitehat trading. We have streamlined the UI/UX to make it as simple as possible and to give the friendliest possible face to Bitcoin. We take our customer support seriously and are actually listening to the trading community. Everything they have been asking for the past two years we will be giving them.

What other recommendations do you have besides the ones you mentioned to Sarah? We are here to listen to everybody and our goal is to offer best platform for people to exchange value between bitcoin and various financial instruments.

NB!
We just released a feature that emails you if somebody viewed your profile or offer page and will be releasing some ground breaking new features that close the gap between conventional exchanges and peer to peer, as in they will take peer to peer trading even farther faster.

Stay tuned and please tell us what you want to see in the peer to peer trading space. We'll build it!

-Paxful Team

EDIT: By demands of community we also added a flashing tab title in browser if you receive a trade message.

Paxful, peer to peer marketplace to BUY and SELL bitcoins!

What is Paxful?

Just like Uber made it natural to get into someone's car and Airbnb made it natural to live in someones home we want to make it natural for normal people to share their financial instruments to earn money and get more bitcoin into peoples hands.

Our goals are
1. To make buying that first bitcoin seamless. We've taken special care to streamline the trade process for buyers and sellers.
2. We also want to create a safe and profitable place for pro traders and market makers. We're dedicated to listening to everything community suggests and implementing everything they have been asking for the past two years.

Features

  • List your bitcoin buy or sell offer with a few simple options. View it here
  • Support for all payment methods and all currencies. Create any payment method, we use a dynamic tagging system like stackoverflow, any payment type is possible. Everything from bank cash deposits, to in person trades to exotic domestic payment methods. Set your own payment window time, set your range limits and price margin
  • Secure escrow and proven feedback system are modeled after industry leaders specifically for a peer to peer money marketplace.
  • Deferred escrow. No need to deposit bitcoins in advance! Offer will be still visible on browse offer page, except you won't have the Coins in stock icon.
  • eBay like reputation system. Allows you to reply to feedback and Always shows who left feedback.
  • Interactive live in-trade chat box with secure file upload.
  • Easy walk-through process steps for buyer and seller on a trade page
  • Payment methods Wiki page - anybody can add their input to every payment method - tips, risks, how to buy and so on. Also possibility to get listed there as contributor
  • Dispute system where a trade partner can start a dispute in 3 hours after trade was marked as 'paid'

We listen to what community wants and will actually develop wished features.

Some of upcoming updates

  • Multiple options for 2-FA. Google Authenticator, Authy, Cleft or SMS!
  • Subscribe to specific payment methods if offer was created or changed
  • Peer to peer affiliate system.
  • Profile and offer widgets for social media and your personal websites.
  • Statistics for your offer

We are live since beginning of June and listing a SELL offer is now invite only.

Want an invite?

Being a Paxful veteran trader MEANS something.

Sign up and send email to [email protected] and mention where else you have traded bitcoins. We will give you access for sell offer creations. Also you will receive a pioneer seller badge and if you have traded on any other p2p marketplace, we will give you legacy trader badge as well together with importing your feedback from other p2p marketplaces.

We have 100+ sign ups a day and demand for bitcoins is high. Our goal now is to have as many pro sellers as possible to cover every buyers demand. We are constantly talking with buyers and based on their preferred payment method will personally refer them to specific seller's offers.

If anyone is interested we have whatsapp group for power-sellers. Email us at [email protected]
