It is almost impossible to stake PayCon now. All stakes get invalidated. I suppose there is a very big malfunctioning wallet in the network, which just ignores staking blocks from other clients, and stakes on its own, forcing all the stakes to invalidate...

But, apart of this... is this coin officially abandoned..?

Abandoned by devs - probably, but the network is still alive.

As for the orphans, try getting the node list from Cryptopia. It worked ok when I tried it a few months ago.

Delisting happens 2-1-17.  We need 5BTC trading volume tomorrow to prevent it.

It looks like we are going to let it go Sad

If there were specific plans or dates on CON development, so we know there will be increased user interest in some weeks or months, it would have been worth to save the coin from de-listing this time too.
But as it is... even if we collectively save it one more time, those warnings will appear again and again, and there is no specific thing, which will make people buy/trade CON in enough volumes.

Is Cryptopia the last fortress exchange of CON?

Looks like it's gone now.  Yep just Cryptopia left now.

Because Yobit does not care. Half of coins listed at Yobit have their wallets in "Maintenance" for months or years.

On different topic - is there any chance to re-enable PoW on this coin? That could provide at least some volume on exchanges, so CON doesn't get constant delisting warnings. The current PoS reward scheme encourages holding and staking, nothing more.

POW won't make a difference. People just aren't trading enough. Simple as that. Most people just stake without understanding the importance of trading.

Yeah, looks like we don't have real traders in PayCON community... I was thinking of PoW, because PoW facilitates miners dump and hence some volume (miners, as opposed to followers, and not keeping the reward and mostly dump for small profit). But, of course if we had traders who could add some activity to the market, that could have been a better solution.

I would suggest, focusing the trading volume on Cryptopia instead. C-cex is very lacking and unreliable as a trading platform. I've started in the last few months to build up volume in 64+ markets on cryptopia. Once more people start to use it, they'll have more sustainable trading activities over time. Initially it was like pulling teeth in the beginning, but it's getting better as they upgrade their systems and more traders come in.

I'm making them my primary market making exchange. If you remember how well trading activities was on cryptsy was for alts (minus the shenanigan BS) I think we can see the same activities again via Cryptopia. So I'm directing most of my market making activities there to help attract more liquidity and traders.
