I hope dev go for a presale before this enthusiasm dies. In crypto things change faster than you imagine. Always better to cash In on when it is favourable.
In my honest opinion this ICO will be mostly for big investors, whales and companies. Most speculators won't like the idea that this token will be slowly appreciate instead a high volume pump and dump like many sh!tcoins.

I would not be surprised and  amazed if those big investors are the traditional financial companies doing credit score analysis to big financial institutions.

Exactly my thoughts but, it's better to have a 0.01 stake in apple with big whales than nothing. That 0.01 can be worth a lot. Same could be the case with paypie.

are you thinking of creating whitelist fo ICO or pre-ICO? how about KYC requirement?

Well, it appears on their website that they won't create a whitelist for pre-ico, they will launch the ICO straight, if that weren't the case, then they would have already published it in the ANN and website, I find it hard to believe that they will only tell us about it just a couple of days before the ICO.

There are too many ICOs nowadays to deeply analyze them all. There have been some articles discussing 2 opposed strategies: “Spray & Pray” versus “Cherry Picking”.

https://blog.bitmex.com/spray-and-pray-the-ico-investment-strategy/
http://whalesfriend.com/ico-strategy/

Maybe the best strategy is to eliminate only the very worst and invest in everything else.

In the end investing in an ICO stays a gamble. Even a good team with a innovative idea can sometimes fail.
All you can do is research as much as possible about the ICO you are interested so I am more the fan of the "Cherry Picking" strategy.

You appear to contradict yourself. If investing is a gamble, wouldn't it be better to spray your chances as widely as possibly? You said it yourself, an ICO may look good according to your research yet still fail sometimes. Therefore research is not a completely reliable strategy. I wholeheartedly agree “Spray & Pray” having a better chance is counter-intuitive though.

Well I think I wasn't clear. For me it's just that picking promising ICOs feels like a bit less of a gamble, because you only invest in ICOs you made your research about. It's probably only something in my mind and just a better gut feeling to have a reason for investing.
Participating in ISO is a high risk in proportion to the chance to earn a lot or lose a lot.
And the more projects and people the less chance to earn.

This is a competition world, not a gambling world.
First we should know that the project you are investing is a project that will not give up easily, even if the percentage of the fall is very small.
If you fail on gambling, your money is gone.
But in an ICO, your money will not disappear as long as the project does not give up.
If you do research properly, its not a gamble anymore. How you can profit in investing is dependent on your research ability.
Know the team, know the prospects. If you are not sure dont jump in.
Jump in and hope is terrible, only jump in if youre sure.
But the most important thing is never invest money you cant afford to lose, do some risk management.

My opinion is if you want to support the project and put a lot of your time on it (make an article/video, promoting it everywhere) , you will be good with cherry picking.
But if you just want to do some research, you will be good with spray and pray.

that is so true, basically because most ico investors do not buy into ideas, but buy in for a quick profit, so after the ico, they move a pump and then dump for quick profits and that is a strategy.

not for all of tokens. Some tokens not dumping. Look at Popolous for example.

Because this is a project a little complex to grasp, only the ones that know will invest, so most of the people that will be on exchanges won't dump, or at least not right away, so the value of the token will rise slowly, and when the ecosystem is fully online and with clients, then the liquidity will rise Cheesy.
I'm sure there are plenty of people here who don't know anything about accounting and yet they will invest. have faith.
In most projects I invest I have only some basic knowledge about their field. I think what's most important for investors is the team members and possibilities of a project and this one has both of it.
I like what PAYPIE offers - reliable project, unfortunately the ICO of this project happened at a time when my money was stuck in other projects! But hopefully soon buy some tokens, when will this be possible

I wouldn't say the money is stuck somewhere else as much as in ppl are currently weary to invest due to the high influx of scam project and current volatility of BTC. Anyway, as aforementioned by a earlier member, paypie's uniqueness will hopefully keep ou ICO pnd. That's should hopefully encourage solid growth over time
Don't worry, you will be able to buy Paypie on exchanges. Probably they will be much more expensive than on ICO but it still can be a good investment
Or it will trade cheaper. We don't know that. It's pure speculation. But because of this unknown components I always try to get into projects with multiple tranches. One tranche during ICO and the other maybe after it, when the coin will be dumped maybe.

Though research might sometime fail, 80% of the time, it's very useful. You get a sense of the team and their intended direction. You have your time to investigate the claims made by the team members and also you get an idea about the team/projects from your peers.
Sure you can fail an exam, after weeks of intensive studying but your probability of passing will always be higher than the individual who didn't study.
