Please contact me back. I'd like to see if you still have your 1 billion peepcoins and help you recover your losses. Your 400$ is now worth over 80,000$ if you held those coins, but otherwise we will still attempt to make things right for you.

Nice team that you do this for him. Respect

I hadn't realized she still used this forum until an original peepcoin holder had tipped me off. I'm very thankful, we are helping her recover her wallet now actually.

This process is to help people like her, especially. Bringing value back to the people who were scammed by the original developer, this is what's important to me. We're doing this for the Peepcoin holders and anyone who may have gotten fleeced by that fraudster. It happens far too often, and I'm not the kind of person who's okay with letting things like a person getting ripped off a couple years ago go away forgotten.

$80k is certainly a nice windfall for her. He sweet talked her then treated her like shit once the sale was done and she asked when he'd be sending the rest of her PCN.

Speaking of that fraudster, I shudder to think of how many of the 1 satoshi orders on coinexchange belong to the original dev. A large volume of 1 sat orders appeared pretty much from the day the coin was first listed. If he left them open all this time, he'd currently be netting thousands of dollars per day. Short term scam becomes a long con.

Any conversation about peepcoin needs to be
Disentangled from daps.

No mention of that in Peepcoin thread obviously.

Let’s be clear on that . It’s peepcoin we all care
About right ?. Then let’s keep it that way.

Significant decisions about peepcoin need to be
Discussed and vetted in this thread, which I see has furthered
Peepcoin cause more than anything .

Please how do i get or download the newer client? Download link please

By 'newer' I mean the one listed in the OP... http[Suspicious link removed]

It is basically the original client, but with added seed nodes, and newer versions of the QT/SSL etc libraries.

First of all, thank you for bringing this Peepcoin back to life!!  You are amazing!!

May I ask if I download this link----    http[Suspicious link removed]  on the same laptop, will it interfere my old wallet?  And will the funds be automatically synced and put into the new wallet once I download the above link?  Please advise.

I just looked at the DEBUG WINDOW, it showed that my current block is only 644,660+ and the estimated block should be 899,065, what can I do to make it right?  It did show that it has 10 connections.   But on the main page next to the "WALLET", it keep showing "Out of Sync", but the staking interest is still coming in.   So, it should be working, but have no idea how to correct it.  Please help!

AlmightyRuler, we appreciate your effort!

Realy excited about this coin! Purchased a few weeks ago.
I like the "weekly crypto update" almost no other coin does that (good way to keep us up to date!).
Keep it up guys! Will buy more in the near future.

Hope we can beat verge in 2019! (or 2018?) Tongue

Peepcoin/Daps remains one of the solid projects I have joined. It is a community driven project with an experienced team, Peepcoin evolving into Daps will definitely shake the cryptospace because it is a privacy coin with a whole new protocol like never before. Watch this space.

Than you! So I tried this and it took awile until the wallet started and I just left it for like day and a half and I see that it is acctually staking, but then again when I touch the window it just go to Not Responding status:

Any other suggestions?

It's a strange one. Does the client eventually respond (for example to clicking on a menu bar item, then waiting) or is it just like it's completely ignoring your input?

Do you have a lot of transactions in your wallet? What's the size of your wallet.dat file?
No never. I can't click anywhere without seeing the Not Responding message. Not too many.. Just one to send the coins and then whatever I got from staking.

I had was the same problem. I decided it, I created a new coin address on another computer and transferred all the coins. Then I sent them back to the old computer to another new address. I wrote about the problem on page 6. To synchronize my wallet, I deleted everything from the folder AppData/Roaming/Peepcoin, unless wallet.dat

No never. I can't click anywhere without seeing the Not Responding message. Not too many.. Just one to send the coins and then whatever I got from staking.
This bug is known. Your wallet is still connected in the background. You can notice that your blockchain file itself (located in %appdata%/peepcoin) is growing, meaning your wallet is *working* even if it's not letting you *use* the interface. You can see your coins staking (if you've sent any) on the Peepcoin explorer. The issue is the wallet hangs up as the user tries to utilize it. It's only in new OS's, specifically Windows 10, that this comes up again and again in.

We have this fixed in the actually maintained Peepcoin branch of public code here: https://github.com/DAPScoin/PeepCoin-TheCoinForThePeople There is no precompiled version, yet, though.
Bonus: It's also the only Peepcoin source that's being worked on by vetted and ID'd developers.

Sorry that the current binary doesn't play nice with certain configurations. There's an issue with newer versions of windows. It hasn't been bugtested with many modern configurations.

The new unified branch has a list of bugtesters for over 6 OS and configurations which we will be going through before releasing the precompiled binaries. But it's already updated currently, if you can build from the source you can already enjoy a faster Peepcoin wallet, with fixed graphics and background. We'll be porting the entirety of the code to modern QT after the compiled binaries are finished, and working to upgrade the functionality by integrating Litestake and hardcoded stake threshold commands. You can read more about this in the DAPS discord.

You can find 24/7 Peepcoin wallet help on the telegram and discord channels. https://t.me/dapscoin

Is it possible that my wallet.dat file got broken? I tried a lot of things with no success. Every time I start the wallet it just go directly to no responding state. Even if I delete the folder and start the wallet it goes to no responding immediately. I left it for the night to see if it is like a false no responding, but nothing changed. I downloaded the wallet on another pc and sync it and try to move it to this one, but no success. Any more ideas?

Make a backup of your existing wallet.dat, then try starting the client with -salvagewallet commandline option.

For example, from a command prompt:

peepcoin-qt.exe -salvagewallet

This will sift through your wallet file and pull out the private keys, then create a new clean wallet with the keys it has recovered.

Note that salvage may also take some time as it needs to rescan the blockchain.

Do you remember your balance? If the salvage recovers all your funds, then you can move on. If not, we'll have to figure out something else. Smiley

Is there a swap happening? If so what’s the ratio

1:1, but what will happen with coinexchange.io after the swap, course I read that they don't like to swap Peep into Daps .... Huh

So what will happen with the Peepcoins on Coinexchange.io ?

And what kind of effect has that on the Daps coin, course Coinexchange is the biggest Exchange with Peepcoins.......... so than Daps will be only listed on 2 or 3 very small exchange with almost no volume and not anymore on coinexchange?

And i must really say, that i looked at those exchange's but they also didn't look very trustable Sad but I still like the project

They're much more trustworthy than coinexchange.io, that's for sure. If you follow the actual Peepcoin thread, we have updates on future listings there. In the future Graviex and Cryptohub.online will be added. I suggest to withdraw your coins from coinexchange, it doesn't matter what they are.
