No this coin is not backed by any government.
No government owns the word PESO. PESO is the basic monetary unit of Mexico, several other Latin American countries, and the Philippines. They all use the name peso but all countries use different currencies.

For Example:
Argentina Uses Argentine peso
Chile   Uses Chilean peso
Colombia   Uses Colombian peso
Cuba   Uses Cuban peso
Dominican Republic   Uses Dominican peso
Mexico   Uses Mexican peso
Philippines   Uses Philippine piso
Uruguay   Uses Uruguayan peso

Manny coins are born everyday and most coins are similar but most coins do not have a project to back up the coin project. Peso is different PSO its backed by BLOCKBACE.COM which is a Facebook like social network dedicated to the cryptocurrency community.
