I've been mining at phs.minar.cc (I've been in the top 10 for hash rates the entire time) and haven't been paid out once for the past several hours. I have 0 unconfirmed PHS and my confirmed balance hasn't changed in hours.

Am I alone here or is something screwed up for everybody? I was getting paid out like clockwork every 2 hours and now I haven't been paid out in over 8 hours. I emailed the pool operator but obviously don't want to mine all night if I'm going to get ripped off so I pulled my miners for now. Just trying to get some answers.

This is the reason I try to stick to solo-mining -- these pools have been a nightmare lately. I mined at megacoin.miningpool.co for weeks before I sat down and put a pencil to it and realized I'd been shorted by almost 50% of my share for over a week! I emailed the operator and never received a response...but the pool was quickly shutdown.

I'm not sure if these are glitches...or if there's something shady going on...but it's definitely making this a hassle. Honestly has to come first...and bugfixes need to be a priority...or alt-coins could quickly become another popped bubble. It seems like nothing is working as it should lately.

That all being said, I'm stoked about PHS -- these are great coins. I'll probably have to resort to strictly solo-mining in the future if I want to guarantee consistency.

Version 1.1 released. This version made the following enhancements:
1. Added more checkpoints, so to make the coin secure.
2. Fixed an oversight in the code (block halve, which will not be in effect until end of October).

*This is a mandatory upgrade*. Please upgrade before October 15, 2013. You are encouraged to upgrade as soon as possible. The source in github and Windows client download links below are updated.

when I go to Help>About Philosopherstone it still says its version 1.0.0.0

On another note.. 34 blocks found so far today Grin

Can anyone explain me how does the stake minting work?

just keep the qt opened, if you have stakes held for more than the minimum time required, PoS blocks will be generated with small amount of interests.
I have just seen with diamond coin, that my balance went down 3 dmd, and my stake went up 3 dmd, is this what it is supposed to happen in PHS?

Yes every time a bloc of PoS created, it will take a normal block from PoW (deduct from toal), add PoS interest to it, and put in stake for maturity, once maturity arrives, you get PoW+interest back to your total.
Ok, if i dont get any interest, then it would appear as if nothing happened, right?
BTW, if i have a wallet with which i mine, and send half of my coins to a friend with whom im splitting earnings, will the remaining coins count as old enough for stake, or the old ones (mined before) will be being sent instead of the new ones(recently mined)?

We need another pool! We need more services for this coin! Casino, Lotto, etc..

I always had troubles setting up any COIN-QT server/clients on my CentOS dedicated servers but I shall try it once again tonight. If I succeed I might try to set up a pool (never done so, so don't expect it to work tonight). Just for the lulz.

If it turns out to use way too much server resources I will take it offline again.

Is the pool display wrong?

PHS Philosopherstone Coin Pool | Minar.cc

Network Hashrate: 70.180 MH/s
Pool Hashrate: 103.204 MH/s
Pool Sharerate: 26.31 Shares/s
Pool Workers: 114

how could pool hashrate is more than the network hashrate?

It may be possible that this POOOL  is the Network... IF you like THIS idea of an interest bearing coin with POS resistance to DDOS attack then please RUN THE WALLET as well as MINING so that the blockchain will become more distributed...   REALLY this important  IF YOU ARE MINING ---- RUN THE WALLET!!!! to DISTRIBUTE THE BLOCKCHAIN to aid ADOPTION.

The pool is not the network. It doesn't get anything near 100% of the blocks.

As far as I know the entire networks hashrate cannot be queried and can only be estimated. Maybe because the difficulty changes every block these estimates are even worse than on most other coins. This might be complete bs though since I have no idea how the network's hashrate is actually calculated.
