My GTX mining farm is mining around 1GH to the Pigeoncoin Official Pool.

https://pool.pigeoncoin.org/?address=PBhhrfAy2q3mZiGJz1DLmwoWiAaUbKDZax

I'm mining around 370,000 PGN per day, and currently holding over 29 million PGN Grin

https://chainmapper.com/pgn/richlist

How much PGN are you mining per day and how much are you holding?

Get on my level!

On another note, there are talks of being added to another Exchange soon!

Main developer leaves coin?
Who's left? Will there be a new team?
Where can I see the specification of future mobile application?

yes the devs left.
Its upto the community to develop the application and website.
App was supposed to launch in Q4 it may not launch untill next year.
Just HODL the coins and wait and see if someone take up this project.

wait a second......the team left the project??? that's insane.. unless I'm missing something? I just loaded up my wallet today and its acting crazy so maybe this thing is done? anyone, thoughts?

We have a new dev and we are active in discord. Also Luke, founder of Pigeoncoin, is still working on the project too (at reduced hours) and is also active in Discord. We are currently voting on key holders for our dev fund block reward multisig address. The code for our 5% block reward dev fund has already been added to our repo and is currently being tested. Go to the #ideas channel in our Discord to get a view of what is being planned for Pigeoncoin.

its ridiculous.. Mr. Luke Spaghetti has updated x16r algo to x16s version which is not that extraordinary as he thought.. time has shown that x16r is good enough and doesnt need to be modified, so what left was x16s as a proof of concept without any idea about further usage. So he started an unique project about social messaging or something completely different and far far away from crypto world. And "surprisingly" he failed.. or better to say, he knew from start, that this approach couldn't work. So now he left the game with milions PGN in the wallet(what If), and instead of a some kind of a say goodbye speech, he added 5% "reward" to a DEVs.. which means 5% rent or better to say protection money(like mafia) and now till end of the world he will reach 5% of every single PGN  Smiley Smiley He must be a genius.. guys, there is nothing.. if you want to continue with project, just create your own over the one friday night at max(just check you tube), and stop supporting this scammy crap

The 5% dev fund was not Luke's idea. It was the community's idea, and is to fund development of our proposed open source MN data caching layer (look into it, it's awesome IMO). Pigeoncoin is much more than just x16s (which is more efficient than x16r). I've been in communication with Luke almost daily for the past several months. I can assure you that there is no scam or malicious intent anywhere. x16s was born out of a genuine user experience of x16r and recognition of a possible improvement to it, and the altruistic concepts were added to provide additional utility to address a need that Luke and the core team of the time saw as something important. The pigeon social app, along with any other dapps the wider crypto community want to add, will all work on top of the trustless data caching layer.

It's easy to promote unfounded FUD, it takes time and research to come to an accurate understanding of a project.

two requests
1) please add link to bitcointalk on website pigeoncoin.org

PGN mining is still making very good money
Actually, not. There's at least 30 coins that are more profitable to mine.

PGN mining is still making very good money compared to many other projects out there! Best to buy or mine now at the cheap price and see what happens after the next exchange listing! Smiley Going to the moon!!!

Value of PGN is so low now so no more point in mining it. Once my "holdings" were worth about $70, now a measly $4. I will hold on to what I have. Maybe someone will come and revive the project.

Regarding stuck wallet. I downloaded and installed the "new" wallet v0.15.99-3. It was also stuck on syncing as was the older 99-1. Then I checked the nodes settings and found out that there were some blocked nodes causing the wallet not to sync. I unbanned the first one, and the wallet started syncing (12 weeks behind etc).  Strangely there were no new transactions after 04.05.2018. Not 100% sure if I mined after this date, but it's suspicious. Probably everything is ok, but I just thought I'd mention it.

Has there been a new wallet release like RVN? I just popped open my wallet for the first time in a little while and it isn't syncing passed 12 weeks, if anyone can help me out with that? Unless maybe its my connection... Go PGN, thanks!

in main channel discord has already started cleaning? Whole team left.

Is this information accurate? That's too bad, I was hoping that this project will be the second most popular after Ravencoin on this algorithm. Do you know why this happened? Perhaps the new developer will continue to develop the coin. There can't be a Scam...

It is very probable. I just sanitized the room from bees and cockroaches in preparation for arrival of an important guest. Im waiting for my highly regarded coin to fill the vacuum in the pocket sewn to the pants loosely hanging from the wrist of mine. If u say its legit u might have a proof of what u are saying otherwise it would be strange to expect that new guy whoever he is will continue to churn the remnants of his shit.

I've been out of the loop for the last couple of weeks…. Can someone please tell me what's happening with PGN?... Did the developers ditch the project or something?.... Thought it had all the potential in the world, to be honest

At the current price of Pigeoncoin, 1% would be roughly $5000 per year, whereas 5% would be about $25000 a year.

It is necessary then the 90% will be 450 000 per year . You're not laughing?   Grin Grin Grin

First community vote!

A lot of discussion has been taking place in our Discord about how to fund development of our back end infrastructure now that we are a completely community run coin rather than a for profit organisation.

Our proposal of introducing a block reward developer fee needs to be voted on by the community. Some suggested a 1% fee while many suggested a 5% fee. Coins with dev fees built into their block reward tend to range from 3% to 13%. Many feel 1% would not be enough and suggest 5%.

5% is modest in my opinion so I have voted for 5% as a necessity for the future success of the coin. We hope to attract more developers who are inspired by the open source and decentralised proposal for a social media platform free from the sale of user data. While this motivation is a start, the reality is that funds will need to be available to pay for the dev work to be done.

At the current price of Pigeoncoin, 1% would be roughly $5000 per year, whereas 5% would be about $25000 a year.

For details and context go to our discord and checkout our #ideas channel.

Luke has personally endorsed a 5% block reward fee and explains his reasoning here:

For those who missed the announcement on discord:

Please read our Pigeoncoin Update Below.

We would like to discuss the current state of the project with all of our followers.

Over the last few months we have worked on many things including the website, roadmap, multiple wallet updates, and our latest achievement the LWMA Algo for consistent 1 min block times. From the first day the project was released the main core team put in hundreds of hours in each month. After a few months we were exhausted. A few members decided they needed to take breaks and move on. We then brought in some of our ambassadors to help with marketing and keep daily operations going. We've also found out that it's rather difficult to find people who are able to put in full time hours to work on Pigeoncoin in this current market. We're now at a crossroads, what is the best way for us to proceed as we embark on our next achievement: creating the Pigeon App? We've decided that from here on out we should become 100% community driven. The project is shifting from a for profit social media network to a community run open source project. This means we will be doing a few things: 1) Current Members will reduce hours. 2) Removing the Team section on the website. 3) Removing all private channels in the Discord Server. 4) Creating new public channels for all aspects of development. 5) Opening up all recent work and making it available on github. 6) Becoming Public about all of our intentions. 7) Letting any new member be a part of what is happening. Cool Creating lead roles for people to get questions answered in each channel. And many more things...
We want to give a fair voice to all supporters of pigeoncoin. We want our successes and failures to be as a community. Going forward everything will be public and 100% opensource and community driven. We will all be ambassadors of this coin. A true coin by the people and for the people.

So what does this mean for the pigeoncoin app? Simple any developer, designer, supporter wanting to be a part of what is happening can come into the public channels, go to the open source github and start helping. You can help design the app, coin and software any way you like. Give it new features and make it your own. We also encourage you to purchase pigeoncoin at the great low price it is today and hold onto it, your investment is now literally in your hands.

So as we make this transition, if you are interested in any kind of development, design, marketing outreach or any kind of other support make sure you keep an eye on the new channels and start actively participating. Also if you know of anyone who may want to join a community project please point them our way. We are always actively looking to get new members that can help us move forward.

Good luck to everyone!

Also from Luke:

Hey everyone, effective immediately the team will be reducing their hours and opening the project up to the community. I'm not abandoning the project, but I need to take care of my family and look out for their core interests.

I pledge to work on the Pigeoncoin mobile app frontend when time permits, but I need the community to spearhead the direction and architecture for the backend.

Here is a quick broadcast about today's announcement. I am looking forward to a future where Pigeoncoin can thrive powered by it's awesome community.
