Pinkcoin v2.4.0.0 "Riley's Revenge" (Recommended Update).
https://github.com/Pink2Dev/Pink2/releases/tag/2.4.0.0
Quote
This is a non-mandatory, recommended update.
Wallets running 2.3.1 can continue to do so, but server and staking nodes are encouraged to upgrade.

I can only recommend if you already own some Pinkcoin to sign up for https://beta.donate.with.pink/

The concept is really amazing. It is basically a go-fund-me with Pinkcoin and you don't even have to spend anything at all to support the campaigns. You are able to vote on the campaigns that you like and the more votes a campaign gets the more they get from the grubstakes which are staked daily. So if you have a project, a cause or anything you think would people make vote for you, this is an amazing way to get some donations/funds. And even if you don't, signing up is free as already mentioned and you get as many votes as you hold pinkcoin in your address, so you can just vote on the campaigns you like easily.

Spock Skywalker did a nice tutorial on how to set up your own campaign:

it was always a low-volume coin.
there's always the risk of delisting, even with higher-volume coins. even xmr got recently delisted from the exchange i'm using.
but if it comes to that, there are quite a few other exchanges where pink can be traded.

Has the PinkCoin developers still actively developed their projects? Has the coin been listed on exchanges?

I mined PinkCoin years ago, and almost thrown away my wallet but I still have backup to get coins back. Are there any good things for me to spend time to use my backup? From what I read, developers have not replied in recent pages.

In this thread, they are not replying but in the discord channel, they have properly answered the question raised by the community. Why don't you stake those mined coins and it will help you to make some extra coin while holding them in the wallets? Better follow their discord channel you will get the updates from the team.

the developers don't come here anymore. discord is the main communication channel now.

the coin can still be traded, yeah. it's on bittrex, coinvex, southxchange, bisq, and a few local exchanges in some countries.

if your pink addresses start with a '2', then you're fine, just update your wallet. otherwise you'll need to swap your coins, because pink moved onto a new blockchain a few years back. contact the devs on discord before you do that. someone might need to run the old chain for you manually so you can sync your old wallet.

the development now mainly concerns their new donation platform. https://beta.donate.with.pink/
also, it's 100% POS now, with a ~15% staking reward per year. POW was scrapped for now.

Did not help(
The wallet was almost compiled and these errors appeared.

collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
Makefile:460: recipe execution error for the target «Pinkcoin-Qt»
make: *** [Pinkcoin-Qt] Error 1

That's not a specific error, you need to look further up in the trace to find the real error.  As the other response said, if you need support you will find more help on Discord.  It will be another missing dependency, almost certainly.

> git clone https://github.com/Pink2Dev/Pink2

Then make sure you have the dependencies and compile it locally.

It doesn’t work, these errors are:

Project ERROR: Unknown module(s) in QT: svg
make: *** No goals set and not found make-file.  Stop.

As I understand it, there is no file that contains wallet compilation commands.
> sudo apt-get install libqt5svg5-dev -y

As I said you must have all the dependencies required, this can vary from platform to platform.

i don't have a Pi, but it looks like you're missing libqt5svg5 dev library. but this may depend on your distro. use apt or apt-get to install dependencies.
read your Pi manuals and browse the files in /doc directory of Pink2 source for further hints.

and again, this is not a support forum. go on discord for that.
