latest wallet update is broken. i have many unconfirmed transactions from staking and all my coins are unspendable for more than a week now
you must've forked.
just bootstrap and resync.

This is some system malfunction. I think, there is nothing terrible here. it's all responsibly solved by managers.

That "system malfunction" is caused by some unknown entity periodically attacking Pinkcoin network for more than a year now and using for that purpose undetected bugs in wallet code (instead to properly disclosing them to us) in combination with some PoW hashpower and staking addresses. I wonder how so small coin as Pinkcoin can be so interesting for those attackers... Hm... We fix all the bugs we can find ourselves but we have two core devs (working on consensus code) doing their job as as hobby / part time job without any gratification (I'm one of them). Maybe it's a little bit unfair but I don't complain, I learn a lot in that process. What I just can't understand is what those people gain by doing that. Oh, well. The charm of an adversarial network (so in fact all cryptocurrencies). Given the circumstances I think Pinckoin team is handling those issues relatively well. Network is operational, most attacks lead to forking issues but only for small portion of stakers/miners. Ad we are fixing bugs and add new features to make life more difficult for attackers so every update makes our network more resilient.

Unconfirmed transactions from staking? Probably orphaned ones. Are you on a correct chain? Check your address in block explorer. Do you see there those transactions? Is your wallet synced? How many connections do you have, what is your last block number? BTW: Pinkcoin discord server is a better place to report issues.

I have installed the new 2.2.2 wallet (i had no previous wallet)
the wallet seems to be stuck at block  727999 and has been there for days now......I have added the nodes above and restarted the wallet and it looks like nothing has changed.
it states that i have 12 active connections.
What would be the suggested course of action here be?

bootstrap and resync.
no need for addnodes.
