Another idea: Android giveaway.

It'd be great to give φ1 (or a fraction) to every Android user (mostly non-crypto users), so they can start using it.

The problem is how to prevent users to ask again and again (and again and again and again and again).

I was thinking about verifying a phone number. So both the PMC address and the phone number must be unique. I don't know what people will think about privacy with this solution.

Any other ideas?

I can update the Android app to support this if we reach an agreement and if somebody can provide the SMS system/API (for example Twilio).

I was thinking about ideas for that 2nd giveaway.

It's definitely very important to prevent people to just dump PMC as soon as they get it. So what about this?:

- People buy PMC using PayPal, only one sell per PayPal account (I know they can cheat and keep both the PMC and the $ but that'd be a lot of work for them for so little and we can take the risk).
- 100% of the raised money (less PayPal fees) will be given back. It can be either 100% to a lucky winner among buyers or we can send a % to a charity. Important part is we don't keep absolutely anything.

We can keep a public log and give it back often so people see it's fair.
Any ideas about how to prove the draw isn't fixed?

We can adjust the price according to the market and maybe give a price reduction.

I think this system (or a similar one) would have 2 main advantages:
- Allow non-crypt users to enter the PMC world
- Make people value their PMC because they paid for it, as little as it was.

Thoughts?

Look for non-american sites... Germany, South Korea, etc... to do a giveaway...

In regards to giveaways and new promotions, we should probably have a presence on some of the other altcoin forum sites and not just bct. I feel wed get Kore new guys is we stop giveaways here and have them elsewhere so we aren't just feeding the same guys over and over. While I'm sure some btc users us the other sites not every member if the other sites use btc.

Hell go to Engadget and arstechnica, etc and start a giveaway in the comments section of bitcoin/ Dogecoin articles. Its relevant enough not to be spam if handled right.
Just related it; Find an article about a bitcoin bug, start inviting people to join PMC to stop future bugs.

Yeah, it's a great community here. PMC will only be a success if it is in many hands, and once the true value is realised everyone will benefit. For a coin that has a total supply of less than 500,000 it's still extremely cheap. Premine is one to hold long-term.

but dont worry, i will not dump this coin! like u said: its fare too rare for that!
and to be honest: i dont dump at all. i'm a long-term-miner and learned my lesson dumping doge at 20 sat ^^
since then im holding every coin i get (some of them in multiple wallets for siblings, girlfriend, etc.) just for the chance it could be BIG in the future and i got a strong feeling with PMC

The PMC community supports one another. We have no interests in dumpers. PMC is far too rare for that.

And if you came here in a month with the proof that you've not dumped your coins i will double PMC sent by Nullu.

I think we will be fine eventually... but after Poloniex's BTC hack volume is killing us... Now .08 BTC moves markets...

These coins are PMC AND BTC coins. We fill em with some PMC and that is a distribution method... people can also use them as a BTC savings account.

Hey JDS you're welcome here. Yesterday when you write i was sleeping but your help would be much appreciated.

In these days we are arguing to make a PMC giveaway as soon as possible but nothing decided till now.

We need to have more followers but more than this, more PMC believers and not people that dump coins quickly.

I would to know the opinion of other members but for me there is no problem to "hire" you for the promotion.

I would be interested to buy 3d print objects and pay you PMC. I saw this idea in the NXT forum, someone is auctioning sterling silver cpu 3d print for NXT.

Yes it's tricky with such an unpredictable market as you have to move your buys and sells up and down with the peaks and troughs, which requires a certain amount of babysitting.

When it moves too fast against you, you just have to place confidence in the maths and trade at a loss to get back in again.  Or just avoid it altogether if you mainly make losses!  I knew maths was going to be helpful for something. 

I try to buy and sell PMC.. but now i am stuck again with 1500 PMC in the exchange.
