1 PMC ( from the sell side ) a day keeps the price up!
PMC a good buy @ Poloniex.
I also put some up for sale at Allcrypt to try and get a market started there.... ( higher priced though )

Good Morning!

My god- 3 pages of trolling?! Looks like I missed some action. All of this because a newcomer only got 7 PMC ?

Also Yes - I'm totally down for another community funded giveaway. We do need to work out some way to prevent double-dipping though.

Double dipping is difficult to prevent. We need to reach people not reached before or people useful to pmc community.

If someone can offer his help then we would give him some coin.

I am a large bagholder.
Quite large actually.

If I can be convinced it will be a good idea to start a new giveaway I will pledge 1000 PMC to a giveaway fund.
The dev can hold onto all the funds but I would like to direct the giveaway so as to make sure that these funds are distributed in a fair manner.

If we can all agree that it would be a good idea I will start an excel doc where we can all sign up and pledge whatever amount.

Please let me know your thoughts as to why it would be a good idea to give small amounts of PMC out to the community.
Specifically why these people won't just turn around and sell the PMC for BTC.
Assume that these people are new PMC holders, not original stake owners and there will be no "double-dipping".

Yup, start an excel doc on google drive so anyone can look and add his/her username, amount or possible suggestions.

Something like that https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ak1prRm1Lw5kdGctbXJtNGxGRVdKRGJ6cVJyaWp3c0E&usp=sharing
You can prevent a large portion of double dippers by requiring bct usernames with X amounts of posts already, and then scanning the block explorer for the history of the address. While you can still get around this, its significantly more work to make 10 meaningful posts on a new account and create a new address just for a microPMC or two.

We could make in this way to avoid dumpers. Give the coins only to users that are active in pmc thread or for pmc in general.

Example: we start giveaway 1st April and give xx coins to each of this new users.
After a month we'll give to these users other pmc based on their efforts for pmc or because they haven't dumped his/her coins (necessary a jpeg as proof)

On top of this I would recommend taking a quick look into the recent posting history of the person, if these accounts were heavily used in giveaways, they are most probably side-accounts (and I am talking about a post history that has >90% giveaway posts.)

The 2nd giveaway would not be small though I'm talking about a massive pile of it given out in smaller amounts. Maybe we accumulate now and start the giveaway a little bit after spring starts and we get up enough that it could be given out over the course of a few weeks or a month. Maybe somebody can do some banners get them on facebook somebody else can tweet the hell out of it. once we set a date maybe Ali can ask that radio host if he could give us a plug for the giveaway hell somebody could even post in gaming forums as gamers are savvy enough to figure out crypto. and they will like the fact that this coin doesn't take GPU's off the store shelf to mine. off to brain storm some more

Carlomagno made some banners time ago, i check for it. I used twitter for cryptsy addition few week ago and this was very massive.

Another idea could be make an explanation page on facebook explaining pmc for people outside the crypto world. I have a lot of friends that don't know what is a bitcoin.

We could teach them first what is a preminecoin Smiley

Well hello my new best friend   Tongue

For me giving out small amounts is purely about spreading the concept of PMC to a wider audience, pure and simple. (so pure apparently that I used the word twice  Grin)

An idea that I like, (not mine, I've seen other coins do this), would to be to host a 'PMCs for Answers' thread on Reddit.  People ask a question about PMC and they receive PMCs in return, along with an answer...the better questions receive extra PMCs 9this is to stop people just asking the same ones...they'll make an effort to get more PMCs).  You need Reddit tip bot an someone willing to start an active PMC community on Reddit around the questions thread.

For me this achieves a couple of things - it reaches a wider audience and it will clear up a lot of the misconceptions about the coin.  It will also explain how the idea of transactions fees work and how having this experiment could benefit BTC and BTC clones.

It will then act as a reference link for when the same questions are posted here.

Strangely, am as socialist as a person can get, BUT in this strange crypto world it is important to have some 'rich' people... they have a bigger stake in the success of the coin than even the smaller people do.  Think Winklevoss Twins....

If our large stakeholders help promote and make PMC a success then that is a very good thing and I am all for it...

There will be a few that will dump probably... but that only means more coins back on the market. Also a good thing...

PMC will be just fine....  slow and steady grow I believe... Not subject to the hard swings of the 'pump coin of the day'.

Yes i can see what they "did" shit for the world . They did for their own image and for their own money too grow . NOTHING MORE > Only hidden interests . And this community has failed once again too be honest with themselves that you going to fail . Good luck into your short living . Twitter it's already spammed how bad is for btc investors too pump in some sad forumist that woke up with a bag full of un-worked coins , un-invested , etc. and they want too make a living out of this . That's not going to happen , it's pure logic cause isn't giving fair chance too everyone in a large spam of time like bitcoin does so isn't experimenting nothing . Just trying too steal people investments and dump on them when the right price it's hit . But i think people will dump from this time . I like how you are so socialist =) . Now that you got the bag .

Trying to add PMC to AllCrypt.com but the wallet refuses to read a config file. It ignores all config options and tries to start on the standard port and user/password.

Running on linux.

Edit: It DOES read the file I could verify that.

Its just ignoring the options I set.

Cant be on the exchange until it works right.

My best guess is that there is another service or wallet already using the TCP/IP port PMC is wanting to use. Can you confirm?

Yeah. In 65 wallets we've installed we havent hit that before.

Should prob check for other wallets using the same ports before you hardcode the wallets - there are 65k ports to pick from Wink

Start the daemon with the -port flag and all will be good. . .

./premined -port xxxx &
