I really wish this was called pokerchip  Angry

That would be a cool rebranding.     I'd merge in a pull request with that change, for sure Wink

I never compiled for windows before... any tutorial on how to do this ? what dependencies are needed ?

Should be generally the same as compiling litecoin, and even bitcoin, on windows.   Are there some litecoin windows compiling guides around?

This is great death to the premine!

I have been working on a blackjack/ poker game for quite some time. will be using pokercoin

ETA: 3 Weeks

Premine bad!   Bad premine, bad!     The destruction should take place later this week, after we all decide on a destroyer address.

Looking forward to the blackjack/poker game.

Can I mine on the 1.0 wallet until a new complied qt comes out?

Yes, you can mine with 1.0.0 wallets until a new compiled qt is released.   I don't have a windows compile environment, but maybe someone else does.

The only real change with Version 1.0.1 is the addition of checkpoints.

It is my intent to destroy the 100,000 POK premine on the rebooted chain.

What address shall we use?   I'd prefer something like the 1BitcoinEaterAddressDontSendf59kuE address.   Still trying to figure out how to make one for pokercoin.   Anyone know of scripts or instructions for that?

Or we can go with the way btc-e destroyed 110K of the NVC premine.  See: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/110k-premined-nvc-is-successfully-destroyed-144158

Using those instructions, and the web tool at http://gobittest.appspot.com/Address we get:

* In '1 - Public ECDSA Key' field, enter the byte sequence as public key:

0400000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

* Hit send.  Then in the '4 - Adding network bytes to 3' field change the prefix to AB  (pokercoin address version is 0xAB, or decimal 171). Result is:

AB3B4DF4363CAA9E3BD9DA58020D3080BE8230A4AE

* Hit send.  Now we have a Pokercoin destroyer adress:

2BuCidDstqL7xDforAjhFxcuStL1V5jzVRa

Could some folks verify and double check this?  Thanks!

Pokercoin Reboot updates:

* Rebooted chain now at block #1600 hash: 7af6588965b6568c0446617d1859ed7e63183dbae2d616a52c69778f6a8d117cd90635d72966f84 977375241

* current difficulty: 0.02613930

* current networkhashps: 1417965

* A few miners are active, but none have updated to Client Version 1.0.1 yet

* altcha.in block explorer is still showing the old chain, but the rebooted chain is getting into the altcha.in database.

* After the 100,000 POK premine is destroyed, it is my intent to start a new bounty program.  Details to be decided later, but 1st bounty will go to diatonic for keeping the block explorer online this whole time!

no one is mining it

Yup, since more than a month ago, no one is mining it.     Perhaps we're going to need a client update and a forking change - we'll see Wink
