The pool has been hitting blocks consistently now, time to move some power away from suprnova, I don't like the fact that they have 51%+.
I am not feeling that well today, however, I have updates for PolyShield Round 2 nodes, information on another coin we're acquiring, and a few more things that I'll add to the polyshield website within the net day or so.

Yea, I agree with this, it seems they aren't bad after all. I will put them on the ANN early next week.

Already mining and in it for the long haul, just one question, any idea at what date POS kicks in? Too lazy to due the math to figure out when block 800,000 happens!
I've been wondering that myself. Since you asked this at a good time (it's just after midnight February 1 GMT) the timestamps at the block explorer can make this more precise. [Note that there's some wiggle-room because this was a new algo with no GPU mining at first... so the first few days might have had uneven/irregular mining] but the overall timeframe should be relatively close in the long-run.
The first block was minted Nov 15th just after 3 p.m ( https://explorer.polytimos.net/block/f39a93d1e65791eac85808a3c2061d1a93cbfc25a71d5052d2707005e31b1988 ) so there was 9 hours left in that day to mine.
There were 15 days in November after that, 31 in December, and 31 in January. Total days of mining have been therefore = 9/24 + 15 + 31 + 31 = ~77.375 days of mining POLY.
From the block explorer, block 35441 was mined at nearly midnight at the start of Feb 1st (https://explorer.polytimos.net/block/89fd01996d385b3d763a9568af97f3d9b03bc0943d55b0242d49d9e55734f329 ) -- even though it shows up with a stated time of 19:00 Jan 31st in this particular window of the explorer for some reason.
So... dividing to get average number of blocks per day yields: 35441 / 77.375 = about 458 blocks have been mined per day on average.
Using that same block: 800,000 - 35441 = 764,559 blocks to go. At 458 blocks per day this means it would be ... [drum roll] ... 764,559 (blocks)/ 458 (blocks per day) = 1669 days or more than 4 and 1/2 years until the Proof-of-Stake. I got this far so... estimating this ... 2019 2020 2021 2022 is four years 1669 - 365 - 365 - 365 - 366 (one of those'll be a leap-year) = 208. Then 208 - 28 (Feb) - 31 (Mar) - 30 (Apr) - 31 (May) - 30 (Jun) - 31 (Jul) = 27. So it looks like one might project the first proof-of-stake block to be minted around August 27th 2022.
If people are holding out for the proof-of-stake as an income stream, I hope they're patient. Perhaps the proof-of-stake might be moved forward to an earlier date? A year is a long time in this space; more than four and half will seem an eternity and will take a commitment to the "long-haul" indeed.

Have mined a little POLY and looked at the PolyShield service. Looks like an interesting and very useful service.
What I did not quite get is what is the benefit of having POLY? The service description says you can get POLY or MN coins for participating. But does POLY have some use on this service (or otherwise)? -> What would be the reason to accumulate it from PolyShield or otherwise?

First, a reply to your comment here... we are listed on crypto-bridge... which cost us .5 BTC and is a Decentralized exchange. Saying we have 'no good exchange' is really ignorant.
a DEX is MUCH better than any centralized exchange, there is no risk of a GOX situation. So maybe you just like to FUD?

Yes, but users browser won't allow to enter that site if the site will be marked as scam/phising. They will need to add it to exceptions, but this will be a warning that something is wrong with this crap.
