This just reminds me about BitConnect case. Many were yelling that it was scam and many other were defending. At the end...

You know how it ends.

Populous has a business model explained in the whitepaper, source code, full disclosure of who is on the team, a bunch of pictures in their office, don't run an ad campaign to sucker you in, and at least 1 person that has described how the business works in a video. They're more transparent than coins valued higher than their's. If nobody is fudding a project, then there's probably no reason to own it because nothing new is happening. Maybe that sounds counter-intuitive but all good investors that made money on something were probably challenged to dump the coins/stock at some point.

Even this temporary situation but it looks like for the moment all good updates by the BitPopulous teams are not working. It may last till the release of full working platform else this is kind on hold status. I am observing PPT's value seems everyone is waiting for breakout in either way.

Yes indeed the FUDpackers have an agenda and it's not some noble mission to watch out for PPT owners.

No rocket science behind this job this is much easy to understand they want to keep price and putting more pressure on weak hands to sell their tokens at cheap price. But this is sure all dumpers will buy this token again at high price above $100

Are Octain and dorkie etc still here?  Does anyone even read their negative shit anymore lol?  It's already been proven that they are just HIVE/PayPie shills who are just jealous that their favorite projects haven't moved above the $1 - $3 range hahaha...  These plebs are just trying to steal investors away from Populous

Effectively they are trying to pump Paypie and HIVE lol so they can sell to you when it goes up.  Then i bet they'll buy Populous with thier profits haha!

Don't try to start a token war into this thread even you don't have any valid proof these communities are involve into this fishy job. If someone have some concern than we should resolve this and make them satisfied but this not a good behavior to start attacking on other projects.

I agree. I really don't think these guys are tied to any competing coins.

To the guys who filled PXT Airdrop form: Did they send your PXT airdrop already or I am the only one who stilled haven't received 'em.

I don't think they've been sent yet. The focus seems to really be on beta right now.

I thought on twitter they said that they will process all the PXT claims soon but I guess I can wait few more.

No dream is too big and no dreamer is too small
I'm hoping PPT to deal overcome the storm right now, I'm still optimistic that the team hard works and will presents a lucrative project after success Pre-ICO.
I also hope this will stop, seems like most of the good altcoins in the top 100 of CMC right now are increasing together with the increase of bitcoin
but we are still down. This is a big challenge for us, especially those who bought and peak, be patient now and hold.

you guys are all at least semi retarted.

This project is by a guy from who from my account has at least 8 businesses (happy to list them if required) which have either become projects that didnt get off the ground or just outright failures.

You guys have pumped the price based on a excellent whitepaper. But a terrible website and the alpha release that super simple a proofessional could wip up in a weekend.

These guy raised less then 15mil but you guys believe the business is worth nearly 2billion. This business has no customers and are burning thought cash to develop a platform that has no current customers and only a promise from a company that claims to turn over a billion but from all reports that seems like a strech.

I heard people talking about cliff high and how he had seen the source code for populous and believes it legit. I just watched a video by the same guy where he mentioned populous could buy credit risk scores of paypie. (populous are doing their own credit risk analysis) and how paypie isn't a competitor to populous. Despite paypie stating in their whitepaper that they where planing to get into invoice factoring. So im my opinion this guy really has no idea what hes talking about.

So d-day for populous is jan 31 and its intresting to note how quiet nicko williams has been. Good luck guys you have 11 days to get out. Oh and if you think this is fud, with all mentioned above if you think i'd invest in this junk you got rocks in your head.

I am currently doing research on ppt, veri and the like...I see a lot of fudsters around and I always check their record...im still not sure about ppt, but what I can say is this guy octain has some cred w/ me after reading this post....check the dates, check the chart.....not saying he's right...just pointing this out...as it stands, I see a big trend toward super-centralized, closed-source "proprietary" crypto....not sure how to feel about this...cant say its scam...but then again, cant say its a great business model or investment...time will tell...I don't panic buy on fomo...if something is gonna moon, I don't care if I got in at 20$ or 100$....my dos pesos

Thanks for that. Today was a Very telling day for populous. A down day for populous when the market moved forward dramatically. This is a very weak sign. I believe given populous was so insistent that was he go live date of the beta. That a miss on this was the final straw for the market. Added to this the cancellation of their 1bil dolllar deal has impact and will continue to impact the price.

Their is actually no reason for this to rise. Unless they can produce a working product. End of the day this is a 1bil dollar organisation. It’s trading at multiples of its value. Any slip will be punished by market. That’s what’s happening now. We don’t even have a date for a proper fully working project. I’m confident of a continued slide to 12 bucks where it should find support around that area.

Populous is getting stable above $20 that is good achievement after massive FUD campaign it seems accumulation phase have been done and whales got enough tokens to create FOMO buy again. Let's see now people will buy this token again at high price who dump during this attack.

Gotcha !!!

 Cool

If we noticed then the price of PPT continues to fall and now has reached 300k satoshi,
And I've also noticed that most of the PPT whales have been continuing to scoop up PayPie (PPP), So i think i'm going to do the same

There are many ifs and buts and maybes and what ifs involved in anything crypto related. We all invest with our eyes open as much as possible and only time will tell how things will evolve and how the Populous platform will succeed. I want all crypto projects that benefit everyone involved to flourish and grow and bear fruits and even though I like Debitum and also own some PPT, I still like Populous a lot because it was a pioneer in this area of fintech and we must give PPT credit where is due.

It would be impossible to work as a commercial data expert in the financial sector if you were committing fraud. It would be impossible to hire solidity programmers and people with engineering degrees. One of them is going to know how to use Google.

That quote you keep using isn't me fyi. I said the part about it being 11 years ago. The "oh wow prison time" is the guy I quoted. That shows how documents/texts can easily be forged.

Then it is actually not that important as long as he didn't kill anyone Wink Deserves a second chance like anyone else.

That is not the question.

There are many hypothetical questions (if the steem article is true) the main one is whether can you obtain financial licenses in multiple countries to operate a $1bn+ company which sole purpose is money transfers when the CEO has been convicted and detained 4 years where the charge was 'obtaining money transfer by deception'.

Hypothetically, I would expect the answer is 'no' you cannot obtain a license to operate as the CEO would fail a fit and proper persons test to obtain such a license.

This is why it is important to clarify the situation proposed by various people whom admittedly, may have other motives other than the greater good.

Quote from business consult: don't bite the hand that feeds you

The platform is Populous's idea, and it's their work not business consult's.
