how about renewing the god damn let's encrypt certificate on https://www.masariwallet.com/? Come on, it's like a 5 minute job. Write a cron entry in another minute to do it automatically for you. What's so hard?

A new medium article is out explaining what has been happening recently. Lots of backlash on the writing style, so let us know you feel about it!

Well, what is the goal of this crypto ?

The market is fully manipulated, you just have to invest between 500 and 900 satoshi and to wait until
it reach 1000-1200 satoshi to sell it and it come back to 600 satoshi then you can do it again, waiting for a biggest pump. But
except this fact that we can make money like that because the bots are easy to understand and the fact that the market is manipulated by a group of persons which try to get as more coins as they can before pumpin the price,
what is the goal of this crypto?

I just updated it and found a bug:
I hit close button, hit "stop daemon": daemon stops, but gui continues to run, its window doesn't close and cannot be closed - just no closing way works. I can only kill gui process.

Hey @everyone! The community has been working to organize ourselves since Thaer's stepping down from "Lead Developer" role while remaining on board to support wallet development and Blocktree in the months to come. As such, Masari has re-centered itself with the enthusiastic support of our community members.

Since the start of June our community raised just shy of $1000,- which will be spent on the development of a number of key items on the Masari roadmap.

The community has generously crowd funded $800 to fund my part time work on Masari where I will be dedicating >10 hours/week focusing on getting the GUI and CLI wallets back in shape in the near term. In addition, I will be making a push for an impending website refresh in collaboration with @camthegeek.

Given the success of and response to the community-led fundraise, we will be exploring ways to gather funds in the future to assist the Masari developers/contributors in working on other anticipated items such as a Web Wallet update, Ledger compatibility, the notorious Blocktree implementation, and Simple Private Tokens (SPT) in the long term.

As we continue to make decisions about the future of Masari we have decided to hold a community meeting here on discord at 16:00 UTC this Saturday the 15th. We hope to see you there!

you said what now?
"Time to bail!!"

Except that this is an Open Source project and the Github has seen more commits in the last 3 days than in the week prior.

Sometimes all it takes is a great community and some talented Devs. Smiley Rock and Roll Masari!

BAIL TIME!

From Thaer:

I'd like to address a few reports regarding wallet issues, and to affirm that your MSR holdings are okay. I have taken a look today to see what might be happening, and it looks related to some edge cases regarding uncle rewards being spent where wallets aren't recognizing what is happening and are consequently failing. I haven't yet been able to reproduce this error locally (it's related to the src/wallet/wallet2.cpp:6246:"Daemon response did not include the requested real output" error that some pools and/or exchanges have reported), but will be working on it in order to resolve the problem. While I will still be maintaining the project when I can, I'm also announcing my stepping down from the title of Lead Software Developer on the project in order to better reflect my latent activity within it, but will still be leading the project. Because of time constraints in order to resolve the mentioned wallet issues, I'm actively open to financing a developer's time to resolve this problem, please reach out to me if you think you're up for the task! Best regards, Thaer

Masari's Blocktree Whitepaper has been released!

https://github.com/masari-project/research-corner/blob/master/blocktree/blocktree.pdf

Thaer and Cryptochangements will be working together on the implementation.

Track updates to the WP via this link as that link goes to the static PDF: https://github.com/masari-project/research-corner/tree/master/blocktree

Also, there is a 600 MSR giveaway to spread the BT WP going on here: https://twitter.com/bazookajeff/status/1130975046305030144

That's almost 50 Freedom-Dollars. Heck yeah!

In the future it could be 6000!
