This is the most boring Ann I’ve seen no one has anything interesting too say there no new information on peercoin progress  it’s a lifeless boring emotionless thread in 6 years there 118 pages this gets my vote for the most boring altcoin thread ever how Can a thread of a 6 year old coin have so little people with so little too say coins that are much younger then peercoin have thousands of pages and peercoin has 118 peercoin is putting altcoin investors too sleep the peercoin devolpment teams moves at a snails pace while other altcoins are leaving peercoin in the dust peercoin was once a promising coin now it’s nothing but the laughing stock of the altcoins heading into obscurity

We need see layout of new website and we need see peercoin devolpmemt updates on this thread we need too see activity on this thread 118 pages in 6 years some thing very wrong there

There have been no updates recently except for the release of v0.6.2. When there is something new to report then I always post it here. Also the new website is not going to be shown until it's finished and ready to release. It is making real progress now, but it probably won't be finished within the next month or two. We understand it's urgently needed, but rushing it is not going to help us, so please let us take the time to do it right.

Any time some one  has any kind of issue with peercoin the problem is always quickly addressed on peercoin chat and there is clearly positive devolpmemt of peercoin taking place if the markets wants too ignore these positive factors along with all the other things that make peercoin great that's ok because sooner or later markets are efficient and will get it right and when that happens peercoin will return too its place in the top 25 coins and in the meantime there is an incredible buying opportunity in peercoin

Peercoin number 175 on coin marketcap and I believe that peercoin certainly belongs in the top 50 coins and maybe in the top 25 we should do some kind of pole see we're most people believe peercoin will rank on coin market cap on jan 1st 2019 similar too the pole we had last year predicting were peercoin price would be at the end of 2017

I've been investing in PPC for 3 years now and its solid. Charting 12-month ATH potentially https://coingenome.com/coin/ppc given the price of BTC and adoption. Excited to continue to follow PPC for the years to come.

Do you need a publicly accessible node in order to mint? I.e. public IP address or port forwarding. I imagine it's a simple and fairly common question, but I haven't found the answer anywhere.

I recently had to move a node from a public machine to a NATted one, and after about a month I haven't seen any minting activity.

no, just unlock wallet for minting is only thing required, and some connections

the coin had been released for so long,
bump and dump so hard, I mean really hard just in a month,
I don't think this project have a chance to gain user trust back
unless they (develop team) change something good way and had massive marketing
Sad( so sad but I had to admit that.
I still buying cause I want to support. . .

I don't see what the problem is. Practically everything in crypto has gone down in value over the past month. We have released our long-term roadmap for Peercoin and we're also working on new wallets, PeerAssets, Indicium and a website redesign. Lots of stuff in the pipeline. Nothing has changed. It takes time, but we'll get there.

I fully agree with Sentinelrv here. The reason Peercoin dropped from the top-10 to the ranks around ~100 is not the fault of the current development team. The problem was the time before, when Peercoin lost traction after receiving almost no development for 3 years or so. New "momentum" should come when the PeerAssets platform - including Indicium, of course - is fully operational.

By the way, I like the current website design. It's clean and well branded. So I hope not to see eventually one of the typical "sh!tcoin" websites with fancy JavaScript animation stuff and nice skyscrapers (that are probably mostly bank bulidings - weren't we here to fight banks instead of copying them?).

What is that PeerAssets platform and Indicium all about and is there a timeline when those things are expected to be fully operational? If you have a written summary or any other source that I could look into, I'd like to ask you to share it please.

We still need to create a permanent link for it. This weekend maybe I will have time to look more into it and see if we are ready to launch it.

What's status of new website

I have written up full instructions for the website and we have hired a web team to develop it. I’m currently waiting on them to produce me a mockup.

peercoin should have a slack I've be n saying that for a while now

We are going with Discord instead of Slack. Dash community originally used Slack but were forced to move to Discord because it was setup for business use and not community management. Discord also supports voice chat. It has been setup for a couple months, but I have had little time to get familiar with it, which is why there has been no official announcement yet.
