Hay guys

Been awhile since Ive posted on bitcointalk. Quick question hopping someone can help? So back in 2012/13 i grabbed a heap of different cryptos ppc being one. While the price is high i wanted to sell some for $AUD? Cant find any exchange here in oz that will do it, so it look like ill have to trade for LTC or XRP etc then sell for AUD. The two exchanges here that deal with altcoins are BTCMarkets (they dont deal with PPC though) and Coinspot (You can buy and sell but you can cant send PPC from another PPC wallet to your account to trade. So im stuck. Any of you good people have advice on whats going to be the easiest and cheapest way to cash out some PPC.

Cheers

Jono

To save some high costs of xferring BTC  (like selling your ppc and moving btc around), I often trade a give altcoin (PPC) for DOGE; move the doge to where I want to buy or whatever (it's accepted most everywhere, fast confirms, and very low transaction fee).     I recently  made a private trade that way, where I didn't use my btc to send to the seller; I just used my btc sitting on the exchange, bought doge, and sent it to him.  Cheap.
Not sure if this is exactly what you were asking, but it's an idea.......

looks potentialy good coin. first pos, old one etc. But I do nto see anything about business. do you have any business development, any roadmap in that, any business use cases, any roadmap for that?

The PeerAssets protocol will allow for that. First business under development on top of the Peercoin chain is Indicium. Check the website here: https://indiciumfund.com/

The early development of a coin, in order to save energy as a good concept, is also a social advocate, a great coin.

Has anything changed recently? Looks like PPC is rallying. Is it still centralized via checkpoints?
The big change is that development is no longer centralized on Sunny King, although that change already happened last year. They concentrate now on the Peerassets platform to make "tokens" and "DAOs" possible on the PPC blockchain.

The checkpoints still exist, but they are not longer enforced by the protocol. People can "turn them off" in the client, and use them if there is a fork event (to decide which chain is the best one). So they are now a bit closer to what Weak subjectivity* is about ...

*Weak subjectivity refers to the fact that in PoS blockchains there is no "objective truth" possible, because in theory everybody could "fake" his version of the blockchain via forking and double spending (although it's not trivial). But in the case there's ambiguity nodes can voluntarily decide to subjectively trust some sources more than others (in this case, the "checkpoint node"), and then the system should work fine.

Wow!! PPC has hit an all time high of $9.13! Congrats :-)
I remember I sold one or two in 2014 for $9,99 on Crypto-Trade (RIP) so I'll consider it to be on ATH if it crosses the $10 barrier Wink

However it's clear that it's an USD all time high, not a BTC all time high. Even the 2017 BTC high of ~0.0015 was almost three times the current BTC price of 0.0006.

That is, however, also an indication how undervalued PPC may be actually. I think it has the potential to reach 0.0015 again, that would mean to again enter the top 100 and even be close to the top 50. For the first Proof-of-Stake coin that's, in my opinion, not a totally delusional prediction. If it continues to be developed and improved I don't see why PPC should not enter the top 25 coins again.

Wasn't PPC around $6 when BTC first hit $1000? Still has multibagger potential maybe. Although times are very different now with so many other coins about.

Indicium has officially released its teaser website. Indicium is the first DAC that will run on top of the Peercoin blockchain using the newly developed PeerAssets protocol. It will provide crypto index funds.

Grows smoothly, safe coin.
It ain't even started yet!  Grin
That is the time to buy and forget.
Peercoin may be indeed an opportunity. It hasn't grown that much in the last bull run than other coins, so there is definitively a possibility that speculators accumulate & hold and the price explodes once a new all time high is reached (which is already close; the all time high was at approximately $9 but it was a very short peak, $7 was the highest price to be reached for more than a day).

For the long term the outlook depends on the capacity of the community to successfully "install" the PeerAssets platform in the cryptocurrencies "scene" and, also, in my opinion, the willingness of the team to keep improving the Proof of Stake algorithm. Cardano, for example, shows that "secure PoS" is still a "hot" topic.

The fierce competition to attract investors. Old coins survive, credible. New coins must also prove themselves.
I see BTC attract investors by hardfork. The team pretends to be a conflict and hard fork new coins.

Perhaps the only way to attract investors with free coin. Transaction fees are expensive and time consuming, PoW makes global warming.
It is not possible to actually use it. Another chance of a better coin will grow.
I can wait and buy more.  Kiss
