Branding and "marketing" has already happened some time ago - at the moment of the $10 hype in 2013. What has lacked is development - it's still a modified Bitcoin 0.6 :-/. And that's why Peercoin looks so olde now.
v0.6 is really a big step forward. It will bring Peercoin the decentralization it still lacks (and a little bit more modern code). Before businesses can adopt it, there must be trust building - and if v0.6 without mandatory checkpoint enforcement works as expected, then this can be the first step for that. But it's only a first step, others must follow.
