Branding and "marketing" has already happened some time ago - at the moment of the $10 hype in 2013. What has lacked is development - it's still a modified Bitcoin 0.6 :-/. And that's why Peercoin looks so olde now.

v0.6 is really a big step forward. It will bring Peercoin the decentralization it still lacks (and a little bit more modern code). Before businesses can adopt it, there must be trust building - and if v0.6 without mandatory checkpoint enforcement works as expected, then this can be the first step for that. But it's only a first step, others must follow.

And with this part of the rant I totally agree:

I am not spreading fud, like I said it was my 3rd coin I purchased and that was a loooooooooong time ago. always loved peercoin but we need to make this coins blockchain have some damn utility!!!

Peer coin 1.55 vs bitcoin 4350.00 dollars that's 2775 peer coins equal one bit coin I personally think the ratio at the most should be 500 peer coins to one bitcoin and I think that's being generous to bitcoin but it's not my opinion that's counts it's the markets

According to the Peercoin Forum, they still plan to deliver Version 0.6 in August and are in the final testing rounds.

I look forward to 0.6 because it is the first major update since 0.3 in 2013 (!), and finally allows to disable the following of the centrally synced checkpoints. That means that it is actually the first decentralized Peercoin version.

Bitcoin cash is trading at over 700 dollars,and peercoin is trading at 1.80 peercoin seems very under valued to me just my opinion

Please tell us what happened or we can't look into it if there actually is an issue. No one has reported anything like this since the wallet has been released.

It's certainly more efficient and a much smaller block chain even if it's half,as good as bitcoin that would put peercoin at 1000 dollars taking into account 24 million peercoin or another comparison if peercoin is half as good as bitcoin cash peer coin would be trading at 100 dollars assuming you use the hit btc price bitcoin cash is,currently at my point is I think peer coin is extremely undervalued but my opionion doesn't matter the only opionion that matters is what the market thinks

On hit btc bit coin cash futures. At 775 US dollars I think with the grave uncertainty we are going to see after the bit coin fork this unprecedented event the immediate creation of a coin with a market cap of over 10 billion if you believe the current hit btc future price I expect many crypto traders seek safe reliable haven and I think no better suited coin then ppc with it's extremely low mkt cap below 50 million but the new bit coin cash mkt cap 10'billion plus value investors seeking security I believe will be drawn too peercoin

For over 6 years peer coin has stood the test of time and yet bit coin cash has a market cap 100 times greater then peercoin now I have no clue as too what bitcoin cash should be worth but I don't think it's more valuable then peercoin so the only conclusion I can draw is that peercoin is extremely under valued here only time will tell

At current prices bitcoin cash has mkt cap of 4.6 billion and peercoin mkt cap is under 45 million it looks too me like peercoin is extremely under valued

The uncertainty with bitcoin could lead to a major up move in peercoin which I believe is severely under valued at these levels it is possible that eventually ppc will be a top 5 coin again
