mining its simple math not religion.
op making good profit thanks to all miners, i think there should be room for suggestions and improvement and not just following blindly.

The OP is making good profits because he's good at what he does. There is no "simple" algorithm for predicting what a coin will be worth after mining it for a day, or even an hour... especially if it's not being moved at the exchanges. Also, the coin being mined by the pool is not made public, and h2o has indicated several times that he will not reveal it - that's pretty much "following blindly" and judging by the 200% growth in the last week, plenty of miners are willing to do just that.

If you don't believe the operator knows what he's doing after the last week or so there is probably nothing that can convince you that he does, and you can go mine somewhere else. I'm all for suggestions and improvement, but complaining that the pool isn't mining the right coin is pretty stupid after last week.

It seems like Dogecoin has climbed up again to 1:th place on cryptsy again. +29.48 % up from last day. We are still mining it.  Grin

Is it just me or is anyone else getting low accepted rates for the last 48 hours, has the graphs/stats changed maybe its not updating as fast as it used to?

I've come to the conclusion that It's not even worth mining until the switching algorithm is fixed. It's like finding a penny every day. It's been two days, surely it could have been fixed :/
There were some disconnect issues yesterday, however, since then I haven't had any issues. Payout today is already up to 0.1 for me, with 0.22BTC looking like where I'll end up... My hashrate is around 0.5-0.75MH/s under where it should, however, this could just be due to stales / pool variability.

I'll have whatever you're smoking ... 0.1 to 0.22 btc on 500-750 kh/s a day ... just wow Smiley)

I have two payments on Dec 22nd that show up on my middlecoin account and paid and appear on blockchain.info but neither payment is showing up in my coinbase account.

https://blockchain.info/address/1278USLSVEgbm9NKjjD3ukt9him5pjnbHi#

my addresses are:

1DwGRqxjR2REtYEZA9dHMmZff61FBaE6q9
19svTW8kV8kGfQyUGn8k4AKGhoooGrH4PG

But when i check coinbase these amounts are not there (was suppose to be paid yesterday). if it shows up on the ledger, doesn't it have to be in the account? why am I missing these payments for both addresses on this date?
I would message Coinbase support about this - If the payment was sent to the correct address and shows up in the blockchain then the pool/you did everything right.

Ok, I will do that. So, just to be clear, if it's in the blockchain ledger, the payment happened? Makes me very nervous that coinbase might have not seen/received my payment...
Yeah, as long as the blockchain shows the transfer, and the address the BTC was sent to matches the Coinbase one (have you received payments to these addresses before through middlecoin?), then unless there was a fork (which we would know about) you should have received your payment. I also receive payments from middlecoin to Coinbase, and last nights came through fine. If you message support and reference the blockchain transaction id then they should be able to look into it / resolve it fairly quickly.

yes, I have been paid before on both of the addresses I used...but both did not come through yesterday. thanks for the info, I reached out to coinbase and they are looking into it. very concerning though...

does anyone know why I'm getting these dips in temperature?
They seem to be for only short periods of time and I've only caught it in the act once but the voltages drop, the clock/memory cores drop and therefore the temperature of each card as well.

any ideas?
Most likely this is due to work temporarily not being available from the pool. The dips usually last until the next block is detected, then the cards heat back up :]  The problem is if the machine gets "stuck" idling and doesn't restart work automatically. Having multiple pools should in theory fix this, however, yesterday was still a little rough, with miners needing to be manually restarted.

+1. We all contribute to the pool and this should be the forum to voice feedback, etc. No one should be banned unless they are breaking forum rules.

I have a question about Middlecoin. I have been trying the pool for about two days now, but I seem to get much lower hashrates than with other pools.

I have a dual 5870 rig, when I point it to, for example, the give me coins pool I get a low hashrate of about 600kh/s, a high of about 1100kh/s, and an average of about 750kh/s. This is about right, my cgminer tells me the average is about 765kh/s.

Now, with Middlecoin I have seen lows of ~300kh/s, and highs of max 860kh/s. Middlecoin does not give an average, but when I look at my stats, it looks like it's lower than ~750kh/s.

I also notice the fans on my GPU's constantly spinning up/down, whereas with other pools they are at max speed all the time. So it seems that with the Middlecoin pool my GPU's are not working at 100% all the time. I understand there ar some short periods of no activity when the pool switches coins, but I really get the feeling it is not working optimal?

Can anyone tell me if there is anything I can do about this? Or is this just the way this pool works?

Does anyone know of a pool for SHA-256 like Middlecoin?

I know there is Multipool and Bitmark but they don't see to have many SHA-256 alt coins. Tompool is not taking new members at the moment but he does seem to have all the right coins.

+1.. mined Grandcoin for a bit and was getting horrendous reject/stale rates - it really isn't as easy as just reading off the pretty charts on coinwarz

h20 may want to fix the coin switching algorithm. Right now we're mining Dogecoin when its on 10:th place on CoinWarz, why aren't we mining the 9 others with far higher earnings?

we should start mining tagcoin I think, much more profits
There are other factors than looking at coinwarz. A lot of the faster coins have higher rejected/stale rates which coinwarz doesn't factor in. Tag had enough problems that multi pool removed it.

But shouldnt everyone's bitcoin payout be relative?

So if someone has 1000khash and they get 0,01btc on 21dec 2:30am, then if another user has 3000khash he should get 0,03btc on 21dec 2:30am?

If one person mines for 24 hours and I mine for a week straight with an equal hash rate then it is entirely possible for me to get three times the payout on Dec 21st since coin I mined on Dec 15th could finally mature and pay out.  Another possible scenario is that the coin I mined on Dec 15th wasn't very profitable at the time I mined it, but the value tripled by the time it was exchanged.  It could go the other direction too.  Some crazy coin might be worth a fortune on Dec 21st, but by the time it gets exchanged on the 23rd it is near worthless.  The gain or loss on any kind of currency transaction is only theoretical until it changes hands.

Chad

Chad's point is right on - nothing gets "reset" after the payout... coins are carried over to mature and exchange. Also, not all MH/s are equal. What counts is accepted shares: depending on your latency and/or just plain luck, you might have more or less accepted shares than someone else with the same nominal hash power.

Your final takeaway should be: over time, everything evens out. Just wait and see.
