Are we paid every day at 7:30 or do we have to do a 24h run to get paid? I never got paid today so just wondering?

Another question:

I am running a rig with bfgminer and have another one with cgminer that might join to the pull as well, can I run them both under the same username? will it come together under the same user name like add to the kh/s or will be on the list as second rig under the same user name, if it makes sense?

Your balance must be over 0.01 BTC.

You can use two miners with same username. Only the total kh/s will be displayed on the stats page.

Its paid every day and you need 0.01 BTC at least to make the run or it rolls over.   Not every coin clears in time

Strange, I think we are mining LTC right now?   Yet I couldnt get a share accepted for 4 minutes, its switched the miner away

A lot of you were totally sick of the diff conversation (totally understandable) and it continues safely away from your annoyance in the other thread.

There is one thing I was hoping to clear up though, based on the current conversation, and I want to ask here while we wait for H20 to confirm, because someone might know.

Does anyone know for sure exactly what reward system the pool uses?

Such as pay-per-share, proportional-per-block, PPLNS, etc?

Don't answer with a guess. Answer if you know.

Proportional.

I've been using an LTC pool as a backup pool, and have had no issues (hashrate/payout are near what is expected), and it has switched back and forth several times.

I did a little side-by-side testing last night and can also confirm that the new block messages on the backup pool (LTC) did not show up while on middlecoin.

Kind of odd, I wonder why it is advised against by the cgminer guy.

tricky because I think good settings for a fast coin maybe not so good for a slower one, I'm still tinkering.
lowering -E may help

The one setting that made a significant difference back when I was on DGC for a while was intensity. Of course this lowers your overall hash too, but i18 instead of i19/20 made a notable change.

I am using 7970 with i=13 so i guess lowering that one for me wont help. I am sure today was just one time thingy.

What solution is there for a backup/failover pool for a multi-coin pool such as this? Cgminer explicitly states that mixing blockchains is a no-no, so setting a LTC pool (or similar) as backup won't work.

My intuition is that mixing blockchains is only a problem if you're using the --load-balance option. But I don't really know. If anyone has success with a backup pool, and knows for sure that it doesn't cause extra "detected new block" for the primary pool, let us know.

bad coin to jump on with but it works out better in the end.

As for settings

ask this guy
122HABiUBoF5CxDSz1HLTDpeLRDTcWxFBH   2.8428   2.1065   0.07470183   0.03110264   0.02524176   1.39361678

What would be a good value ...default is 120 so maybe 40 Huh?

I did scan time and -e to 1 second. no difference so far...

I used to be mining happily at 1.2 Mh/s with almost no rejects.
Yesterday I added a third card and when I check today my rejected rate just went sky high.

The result is with the third card I'm still with 1.2 Mh/s accepted and 600 Kh/s rejected.

Is there an issue with the pool today, or is it me?

I am around 500 rejected with a total of 2,1

I just swapped onto middlecoin and really keen to see how it goes

Long story short I am sitting on 30%+ rejects

Or 26 mhash good & 16 mhash rejected

I have mainly stuck to ftc & ltc so my 22 rigs are not setup for new block hell of some of the alts ....

What can i do on my end to help me get this figure down....currently I have ~ 10 out of 22 rigs not being counted

I am sure that this cant be MORE PROFITABLE Huh??

Hey, the pool is over 1 gh/s now! Congrats h2odysee, and everyone Smiley

And a thought about the cgwatcher+auto-sell-option on cryptsy suggestion:

Most pools these days are PPLNS. Switching coins/pools all over the place seems like it would kinda kill efficiency based on that payout model.

Of course, we are switching coins all over the place mining here, but I am assuming since we are all switching together as one pool, we are not shooting ourselves in the foot in that way....?

PPLNS is nice, but isn't that mainly just to stop pool hoppers? I doubt we have pool hoppers since it takes so long for coins to mature and exchange, probably a natural deterrent.

Are their other advantages besides anti-pool-hopping?
