If your disk is burned, the only thing that could "burn" is electronics. So go to ebay or ebay like site and search for exactly the same model of HDD. Buy it, change electronics from working one to dead one and it should boot without problems. Remember that your data (and wallet) are still present on magnetic disks. Remember that not only visible electronic could burn. Inside of HDD there is little electronic head driver which you may also want to replace (but this isn't easy part so first try to change ouside electronic and check if it's working). i have visited recover centre in my city they said your hard disk is smoked we can not recover data from it i think now it is impossible for me to recover my coins
it happened to me a few times. And hard drive never died. Its usually when power cable is not fully plugged in. So the card burns and smoke is out and it smells bad. but hard drive never dies.
okay do this. Dissemble the hard drive. remove the upper case. Take out the card from an old hard drive. And replace it with the burnt card. It will work. you have to do some google search. Some study. And you'll be able to do it yourself. Good luck
